Orka Sunlife Luxury

The hotel is very nice, all staff were very polite and helpful. The rooms are very well kept and have all the amenities you would expect to see. The entertainment team are great and go above and beyond to make sure you are enjoying your stay. Its situated in a great place, only minutes away from the beach and both hisaronu and fethiye strips, where you will find everything you need and more. The only negative thing i have to say is about the weather we experienced whilst being there (but we did come in autumn so thats a moot point.) All in all, i have really enjoyed my stay and would recommend the Orka sunlife resort to be your place to stay if you ever visit olu deniz.

This was our first time to Türkiye, a 1 week stay Huband & Wife

Thursday Upon turning up at the hotel, everything looking great, clean, tidy. Got checked in and show to our room, settled in a and set off to explore our surroundings for the next week.

Not a huge resort so nice to see what's where and get some liquid refreshments. (no dark rum in any bar, so rum and coke off the menu) Beautiful views of the mountain, and cable car. and sea view looking down on the town below.

Went for dinner, 7pm-9.30pm Buffet style and quite spacious with indoor seating and outdoor seating, take into account on wet days the indoor can feel very busy as no one wants to sit outside. Staff very attentive, getting your drinks for you. Food a great array of food for all palates, from people who will only eat chips to people who want to try something new, we never felt like we went without, and never felt there wasn't anything for us. Only one negative, you can have a coffee with your meal at breakfast, but don't expect to have an after meal coffee, you need to go to the bar for that.

Looking for the entertainment for the evening, this is only outside, and kids disco didn't start until 8.45pm and then Main ents. starts at 9.30pm did start to get chilly so take a jumper.

Friday Breakfast 07.30-10am once again a large variety to choose from. either cereals to cooked foods, fresh fruits, pastries, so much.

Decided to have a pool day, and it is a nice sized pool, it was never busy probably down to the water feeling like it was below zero degrees. There is an Entertainment team, and they start around 10.30am there is a quiet area if you want that.

Lunch 12.30-2.30pm once again so much to choose from in between meals you can get snacks and Ice creams

We had decided to book a Cpl of excursions using the place by the hotel front doors, more to come about them.

Saturday Booked the Jeep Safari trip, 8.45am pickup they take you to a garage where they sell/ hire water guns, then you have waterfight at the back of a garage, they drive to first destination, the waterfall in the hills and zip line, the waterfall is about 12ft and the zip line is extra cost, we had about 30 mins there then onto lunch. This is by the side of a road opposite a garage. You have to pay for your drink with a meal. When you choose chicken, don't expect chicken breast, this is processed breaded chicken. Finish there quick then onto monster truck or buggy riding, all extra costs. And the monster truck ride is only 8 mins long, they promote that you have a longer ride on the truck but we didn't do it and decided to time the second lot they took out, as the first lot seemed a bit quick, I timed it.

We then went onto the gorge walking that you pay to get into. Very pretty though but make sure you take some beach or water shoes, as it is rocky and slippy. Then finally back to mud clay bath. What they don't tell you is the showers are ice cold, so beware before covering yourself.

Sunday Decided to have a pool day as there was a storm coming in, and wow what a storm that was, it was a shame that the Ent team sat around instead of uplifting the mood, maybe some music, but no, they sat looking at there phones, even though the following day was there day off

Monday Second of our Trips out, booked a trip to Dalyan with Turtle beach. Got picked up at 08.15 then a 2 hour coach trip to our destination, we proceeded to get in one of 2 boats. We went across a choppy lake to the mud baths and natural spa's. Once again cold showers, we declined and just got in the hot water instead, don't wear silver in these bud baths or spas as the sulphur with severally tarnish these. Then back across the lake for some lunch, this was a really nice meal with soup too start. But once again you have to buy your drink with your meal. It felt we were rushed back out onto the boat, then slowly down the waterways past Dalyan and onto the beach.

We had an hour on the beach thinking we were to see the turtles once we all got back to the boats, but what happened was if you had bought food to feed them, that is the only time you would get to see them. Very poorly organised as people who did buy food, didn't see any. Then back on the boat, and onto our docking point to meet the coach, Then another 1.45hr journey back. we were told back at 6pm when we booked but was more like 7pm.

Go careful if you decide on the photographer, he may take your picture, many times I saw him on the other boat smoking, not looking for opportunities to capture the candid shot, he loved posing the young ladies on the front of the boats for there shots. Then you only get your photos given to you via downloading to your phone, so not high res for you to get decent prints when you get home.

Tuesday Pool day, nothing major nice and chilled but I must say one thing that did surprise me. one of the Entertainments team had his birthday, which is ok, but he then proceeded to go around everyone around the pool for money for his birthday. This wasn't a joke, he was saying it was a tradition. I was quite shocked at the begging.

Wednesday Decided to have a trip into Hisaronu, do some shopping, 250 Lira by taxi, then onto the beach by taxi 350 Lira. We sat and watched the Paragliders coming in, just be careful of them, the a taxi back to hotel. 350 Lira

Thursday Home time

Room staff, very good, towels changed daily, beds changed mid week. Water each day. only had to ask once for extra tea and coffee Pool area always cleaned every night and beds straightened up.

Victoria Remi and Kai are amazing made my whole holiday they are the best !! Food is okish but if you don’t like meat not great ! Room service amazing and the bar staff are great always friendly
