Families, Clean and Friendly

Well after reading some reviews we nearly changed our minds, however I’m glad we didn’t. I’m not going to say things were perfect as this wouldn’t be correct I will be very fair though and don’t let it put you off as like any holiday what some people love others won’t. Start with the plus side Rooms, very spacious, cleaned every couple of days which is more than ample (for us) Pools a plenty with ample sunbeds and drinks easily available Views from the rooms and reception area are amazing, Türkiye is beautiful. Shuttle available for the beach this needs booking at guest relations in the main reception so make sure you do this otherwise you won’t be going there unless you pay a taxi as it’s approx 10 kms. Usually they will take you for 3 hours which I feel is enough! Main pool area has great vibrant atmosphere for families and singles alike with loud music and slides in same area Kids entertainment is first rate and adult entertainment is also good fun the team really try hard! It isn’t the west end but great fun if you can just go with the spirit of a holiday that doesn’t cost £15K and your not going to get caviar passed to you whilst sipping the finest champagne All entertainment at night is in an outdoor arena which is great. Kusadasi town centre is for be fantastic and whilst in Türkiye to embrace the culture is fantastic, the shops, food, hustling, haggling and call for prayer make you feel like your in Türkiye, if you don’t fancy that I suggest pontins at camber sands. Or maybe butlins at minehead listening to Rick Astley and watching people on hen weekends being carried back to 5 star chalets! Special mention for Ozzie at the Oaks bar. He was constantly smiling, attentive, welcoming and our kids loved him. We’re not drinkers but we got our Fanta, Coke Zero etc quickly and he was there first thing in the morning asking us if we needed drinks as we got on sun beds! Too man and the hotel have a star there also Mario who for me wasn’t pushy, was massively helpful and always had a smile on his face! Now I did say there are negatives I won’t make them specific to me as like I said it’s all amout personal taste It is very hilly at the resort. Steep in places so if you have mobility issues bare this in mind and maybe request a easier area closer to reception There is no pork products Türkiye is Islamic so remember this meat will be either beef or poultry Coach to Izmir airport for transfer is 90 minutes so if you have travel sick children bring anti sickness as there are windy roads up to the resort. Prices in shop on site for essentials are very inflated but if you dare to do to Kusadasi town centre there is local shops cheaper and also McDonald’s for children who we know don’t also have embrace food changes so well Boat trip to bays was 8 hours, smoking on boat was plentiful and hard seats so if you don’t smoke like me don’t bother go and do jeep day or visit other places

For info Kusadasi is 20 minutes in a taxi, if you contact a clothing shop they will arrange transfer from hotel to there and back for free saving about £60 euro Or indulge and go to Hong Kong (with Mario) you will see him at the pool who will arrange. If you do this you will get lift there and back also!

We will be going back next year for sure thanks to all for a very relaxing and beautiful holiday

Remember it’s all about personal tastes! Some people wouldn’t be happy even if they stopped in paradise, some people are more realistic, embrace culture change and enjoy a holiday based on cost, value for money and things you can do!

AVOID

Avoid — really disappointing hotel Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing stay, and I would not recommend this hotel. Room: The room was dated and filthy. The Wi-Fi was poor and the water flow was almost non-existent. Furniture was broken, and the bedding and pillows were stained, had holes in them and showed signs of mould. We complained directly to reception about the condition of the room and the issues we were experiencing. We also requested replacement bedding through Jet2 on arrival, but nothing was done. We requested to be moved to another room. This took hours, and the reception team seemed unable to properly acknowledge or address the concerns we were raising. Food: The food was consistently cold, with very little being even warm. The choice was repetitive, and even the children struggled to find something they wanted to eat. A good example was the pancakes and chocolate spread — the "chocolate" was essentially cheap chocolate-flavoured syrup. Drinks: The drinks were poor quality, including the cocktails. Glasses were often scratched and dirty, which was particularly disappointing in an all-inclusive hotel. Pools and safety: The pools away from the main pool were better, but the main pool area had serious issues. A cat was left in the main pool area for two days, along with rubbish. Grates were missing from gutters, leaving large gaps that were a serious hazard, particularly for young children. The steps leading to the slides were muddy and felt dangerous. There was also a very worrying incident involving a child who burnt themselves with hot water. I was shocked when the parent went to reception requesting first aid, as the child was clearly distressed. The receptionist did not appear to understand what was being requested. When the parent then asked for a medic, the receptionist attempted to call one but then told the parent that they would have to look for the medic themselves around the pool. This was extremely concerning and, in my opinion, demonstrated a serious lack of appropriate response to a child requiring medical attention. Jet2: We raised concerns with Jet2 on arrival, including the condition of the bedding, but nothing was done. We also asked to be moved rooms. Martin from Jet2 unfortunately did not follow through with the communication he promised on either occasion, which added to the frustration. Location and transport: There is very little within walking distance of the hotel. A taxi into town cost around £20–£25. There were no Dolmuş services running locally that we could find, and the surrounding area is very hilly. The hotel bus to the beach was another issue. Although it was pre-booked, it was overbooked and involved queuing for a strict three-hour window, making the whole process unnecessarily difficult. À la carte restaurants: The à la carte restaurants were fully booked for our entire week. There was no opportunity to book on arrival, and once again there was a queuing system, only to find there was no availability. This was clearly affecting numerous guests who were also waiting and unable to secure a booking. Overall: There were numerous British guests complaining about the hotel on arrival, and unfortunately our experience matched their concerns. For us, the combination of poor room standards, hygiene issues, poor-quality food and drinks, safety concerns around the pool, the concerning response to a child requiring first aid, lack of effective customer service and difficult transport arrangements made this a very disappointing holiday.

I would avoid this hotel and would not return.

Unique I’m sure will acknowledge an me reply to this rating however they are clearly not taking any feedback and dealing with it

Fantastic hotel, superb staff

We have been here 1 week now - family of 4 with 2 daughters aged 15 and 9. We read reviews and were slightly concerned by some of the things, but we honestly needn’t have worried. Room - we are in Grouse which look modern, and are very clean and spacious. 2 bathrooms which is perfect, showers are great, fridge is very handy, and the air con certainly helps! Cleaners have been 3 times in our 6 days so far, which is all we need really. Towels replaced, beds changed, rooms cleaned. Food - this is only thing that has bothered me. A lot of repetitiveness - stews, casseroles, fish - very catered for French guests it seems. However we’ve always found something, so it’s not as if you starve! The snack bar is very kid friendly with burgers, chips etc. Breakfasts are good, so much choice with cereal, breads, fruit, cold meats, salad, toasties, and eggs. The omelettes are very good. Pools - plenty of pools. Main pool is the noisiest and busiest, with lots of activities throughout the day. We went to The Pines for one day and this is a lot quieter and calmer, and the infinity pool is beautiful with brilliant views. Sun loungers are not an issue at all, we came down at 9am every morning before breakfast and got 4 beds together next to the pool no problem. The slides are great too, the youngest especially enjoyed them! Extras - staff come round trying to get you to do spas, go to restaurants, get photoshoots etc. But they are not pushy at all, a simply no thank you and they respect that and leave you alone. We did deal with Mario and went to Hong Kong Chinese. We were picked up for free at 6.45, had some amazing food (food and 2 drinks each came to £120), and then had a couple of hours shopping about 10 minutes walk from the restaurant before our free taxi home at 10.30. I would highly recommend. Entertainment - these are fantastic. Borat is hilarious, and the whole team are brilliant. They ask you join in yoga, aqua gym, darts, pool games etc but again, a simple no thank you and they respect that and leave you alone. On a night, the amphitheatre is a great venue for the kids club, and then entertainment afterwards has been bingo, fire dancers, circus act. Really good entertainment team!

You can tell the hotel has listened to previous complaints shown on here. Paper cups are given now to save time on washing plastic ones, bottles of water are available for free all over the place which is a great touch, towels are available pool side, and even things like floors being slippery around pools are being dealt with via mats being put out. We’ve been very impressed with just about everything about it, and would certainly look to come back in future.

AVOID NOT FOR BRITS!

Just arrived back from a 2 week break here. Really wish we had researched more before booking as we paid well over 5k for package with jet2. Rooms very dated and not very clean. Was told we couldnt use washing machine even though was on the itinerary took 3 days to get a clothes airer and a chat to jet2 rep Martin to get issue addressed. Food cold and very repetitive ended up going off resort multiple times to eat out. You are in the middle of nowhere so you can't just take a stroll to a shop of cafe its atleast 40 quid return for a cab! Resort is hilly. Wardrobe doors broke 3 times. Flush panel on toilet fell off wall and toilet stopped flushing. Cats!! We are not cat lovers but they are literally just strolling through restaurants inside and brushing up against your legs whilst trying to eat. Our a la carte meal outside for Italian night a cat jumped up onto table and took a slice of pizza off daughters plate! We'd had enough at that point and upped and left the meal. Local resident kids zooming around on electric scooters without a care in the world ( resort forms part of private housing) entertainment we found was poor. Repetitive shows. One evening we arrived to the amphitheatre early for kids club. Music playing was very explicit and rude couldn't believe it with all the young children around. We left immediately. Kids club is just a room with limoted resources and when my daughter went for bracelet making it wasnt that just given some paper and crayons. This place really is not for brits! Its catered mainly for polish/turkish Really disappointed with how much wed looked forward to this and the amount of money wasted. The onsite shop is extortionate £7 euro for 1 can of redbull!!! Will not be returning and would not recommend to anyone. Martin the jet2 rep was amazing though I must add that in.

Not great

Our room was at the very end of the resort, i dont like how on the pictures it doesnt include the walking distance its very hilly, there is golf carts that pick u up but take ages to arrive, the cleaning service it quite poor didnt have my sheets or duvet changed or cleaned the whole 9 days, the food is decent but not much selections, the Italian next to the hotel isnt amazing just satisfactory. Noise level wasnt so bad as we are far away from the entertainment, the atmosphere isn’t amazing its downstairs with a couple of rooms in a dark hallway,
