Lovely Hotel with Amazing Staff
We had a really lovely stay at this hotel. The hotel was very clean and well looked after, although some areas are starting to look a little dated. The food was good overall, but I think there could definitely be more vegan options available, especially to give vegan guests a bit more variety. The staff were one of the best parts of our stay. Everyone in the restaurants was extremely friendly and welcoming, and the housekeeping staff were absolutely brilliant, always helpful and doing a fantastic job. The beach is beautiful and a lovely place to relax. It can be quite windy, but this is mainly because the hotel is located on the east coast of Mauritius. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and had a very positive experience. The wonderful staff definitely helped make our holiday special.
Beautiful Place with pristine beaches
This is a beautiful resort, we had a great time there. Although an hour away from the malls and airport it is still worth it.

Honeymoon at Long Beach: Beautiful setting and great service, but mixed dining experience for gluten-free diets
My partner and I stayed at Long Beach for our honeymoon. We stayed in a Junior Suite located near the beach with a ocean view. The room was spacious, beautifully appointed, and maintained to a high standard throughout our stay. The staff across the resort were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, and the spa facilities and treatments were fantastic. Although we were repeatedly informed that the resort was fully booked, it never felt overcrowded—there were always plenty of spots available at the beach, pools, restaurants, and bars. Dining & Gluten-Free Experience: The culinary experience was a mix of highlights and notable drawbacks, particularly regarding gluten-free dining: A la carte restaurants: The specialty, bookable restaurants were excellent and handled food allergies/gluten-free requirements very well. Buffet restaurant (Le Marché): While the overall selection was decent, it was a major disappointment for anyone requiring a gluten-free diet. There was no allergen labeling on dishes, and the dedicated gluten-free breakfast section was extremely limited, offering some of the driest baguettes I have ever tasted. Due to the high risk of cross-contamination, I would strongly advise anyone with severe gluten sensitivities or celiac disease to avoid dinner at the buffet. All-Inclusive Concept: We found the All-Inclusive package somewhat disappointing. Wine was not included in the package, and many items on the menus required an extra charge. In my opinion, a package shouldn't be marketed as "All-Inclusive" when key beverages and menu options are excluded. Facilities & Activities: The gym was well-equipped with everything needed for a solid workout. While we didn't participate in the other activities on offer, the general selection appeared varied and well-organized.
Excellent holiday with superp service and food.
We had a wonderful ten days in good weather and Long Beach hotel Bellmare was a hotel with excellent service, kindness and food of high quality.
Lovely visit
We had a lovely stay at long beach, as with any resort there is good and things to be aware of.
Overall the staff was very friendly, including the 3 cats and a dog (we are animal lovers so this was an extra plus for us), loads of bird's to look at and occasionally a lizzard. Staff were always welcoming and everyone said hello, always there to help if needed.
The room was lovely and spacious, good showers and beds were comfy. just be aware there's no iron but they do offer a dry cleaning service at a cost. Housekeeping was good.
Food, this is tricky as my partner is a picky eater. In general it was nice, at times limited options. Lattes were nice. The curry's were very nice.
Service although polite found at times took sometime to get to us, occasionally getting the order wrong (service mainly around the pool) but with such a big place I'm sure this is bound to happen from time to time. Beers are can size only, tried ordering a tall beer (pint) a few times but often got a smaller one. One thing we did want to highlight was we was seen waiting for a certain desert (this was at the buffet and there chef was currently cooking) we decided not to wait and come back later, a lovely waiter had spotted we had been waiting and brought some over to us, this was a lovely touch.
In general we had a lovely stay and we would recommend it as a place to stay. main disappointments was the need to pay 10,000 rupees on arrival incase you use stuff not all inclusive this was arranged within a group so felt uncomfortable to ask what it was about and felt it was abit sprung upon us. There is a good amount of food and drinks not included in the all inclusives meaning we was spending time checking we was getting the right stuff, took abit away from the pleasure of ALL inclusive, we would stay again though with this extra little bits of knowledge and could make allowances
When leaving there is a nice area to get showered before you leave, which again is a nice touch.
