The InterContinental Mauritius Resort Balaclava Fort spans over a breathtaking area on the island, offering magnificent views of the Bay of Balaclava. Situated to the north of Port-Louis, the capital city, the hotel is conveniently positioned within a 15-minute drive of the vibrant shopping, entertainment, and dining hub of Grand Baie. Additionally, it is just a 55-minute journey from Plaisance International Airport.
This resort offers fabulous views of the ocean and 210 elegant, functional, well-furnished and spacious rooms. Guests are welcomed in a lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out services. Facilities include a hotel safe, currency exchange and a cloakroom. There is also a hairdressing salon, restaurants, bars, sports facilities, a games room, and a spa offering various treatments. For the younger guests, there is a children's playground and a kids' club. Cars, scooters and bicycles are all available to rent (hire fees apply) and the hotel's concierge is on hand to assist with any request.

Each room has an en suite bathroom with a shower, bath and a hairdryer. Rooms are furnished with double or king-size beds. Great food, lovely staff!
We had a wonderful time at the restaurant every night for the duration of our stay. The food was wonderful as was the service, with friendly staff willing to accommodate all of our requests! We’d like to thank especially Vishal, Issen, Vimla, Kaussoom, Komal, Naveen and Govinda!
Amazing stay at intercontinental
Drishti has been doing an excellent job at the front desk. She is polite, friendly, professional, and always ready to assist guests and team members whenever needed. Her communication skills and positive attitude make interactions smooth and pleasant, and she handles her responsibilities with great dedication and patience. She is also very cooperative with the team and makes sure that every task is completed properly and on time. Her commitment, helpful nature, and consistent efforts are truly appreciated, and she is a valuable member of the team.
