A Dream Stay in Mauritius – Unforgettable Experiences & Exceptional Hospitality
We were picked up at the airport and had a wonderful welcome to Mauritius with our driver, Manoj. He told us many interesting facts about the island and shared some fascinating insights into the history of Mauritius.
I would absolutely recommend the villa we stayed in. It was incredibly beautiful and truly felt like a dream. The hotel also offered excellent dining options, with high-quality and delicious food available throughout the resort.
The breakfast buffet was a real dream. You had to be careful about how much you took because there was almost too much to choose from — from all the sweet treats and pastries to the fresh fruits and salads.
For me, one of the most special experiences was having the opportunity to meet the Executive Chef, Simon Pacary. He is a very warm and kind person and gave me fascinating insights behind the scenes of the kitchen and pastry department. It was a great opportunity to see and understand more about the production and the daily work of the culinary team.
Our personal contact person, Gael, was incredibly warm, friendly and attentive. He always managed to put a smile on our faces and organized everything according to our wishes. Gael was never intrusive or overbearing. Instead, he was discreet and respectful, while still checking in on us regularly to make sure everything was going well and that we had the best possible stay.
Special few days
Amazing hotel. Amazing food. Rooftop pool has incredible views. Organised a private boat trip through the hotel to swim with dolphins, which was an unforgettable experience. Special mention to lovely Vivek who made us smoothies and juices and was so friendly! And to Alexandre, who was so welcoming and brilliant at what he does.
Unforgettable experience & exceptional service
From start to finish, this property proved itself to be in a league of its own. The hotel itself is extremely comfortable, and the facilities are second to none. The spa is easily the absolute best I have ever experienced. Fitness enthusiasts will love the two well-equipped gyms—the rooftop gym is a fantastic touch, offering a unique open-air training experience with incredible atmosphere. The pool options are awesome, offering something for everyone. A massive standout is the rooftop pool at Bisou—the sweeping ocean views from up there are simply stunning. When it came to dining, we were spoiled for choice, though our top favorite was definitely Ai KISU. The Asian cuisine there is exceptional!
What truly elevates LUX* Grand Baie is the outstanding team. Alexandre made our arrival seamless. He handled our check-in, gave us a wonderful tour of the property, and remained available to assist us throughout our stay. Christ, Jaimile, and Gerard at the concierge desk were fantastic. Whether arranging dinner reservations, booking excursions, or offering great local advice, they were always eager to help with a smile.
Awesome property, awesome facilities, and awesome staff—this is definitely a place we will be returning to!

Tagine was melt-in-your-mouth good, bread was fresh, and the flavors were so rich. Cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and great value. Highly recommend — we’ll be back!
