On the Coastal Road, in a lovely setting between Mont Choisy and Pointe aux Canonniers, in the northwest of the island, Sea Point Boutique Hotel stands on a gorgeous turquoise lagoon in the Grand Bay facing the Northern : le Coin de Mire, Round Island and Flat island. The location near Le Canonniers Hotel in the heart of a very quiet residential area, at the end of a charming coastal road, makes it restful and calm. The animated holiday village of Grand Bay is only 4 km away. Grand Bay abounds with boutiques, a crafts market, restaurants (Indian, Japanese, Creole, Chinese) and evening entertainment (discotheques, cabarets).
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We loved everything about our 3 night stay at Seapoint Boutique Hotel. We chose it to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary because it was small and select rather than big and impersonal like a lot of the larger resort hotels. The hotel was everything we hoped for. It has a lovely peaceful location overlooking the sea towards the northern islands. The gardens and pool area are kept immaculate by a quietly efficient team. The whole hotel is tastefully and stylishly furnished without being over the top. The food was delicious and always beautifully presented. We particularly liked that the evening meal was not the usual huge buffet. The excellent table service and fabulous selection of vegetarian dishes really made our stay special. All the hotel staff were friendly and welcoming and the restaurant staff were outstanding. There were always plenty of staff who were all quietly responsive, friendly and professional. They went out of their way to make our stay a very special occasion which we will remember for a long time. Thank you Seapoint for a wonderful visit. We will be back!
We had a wonderful time at the Seapoint Boutique Hotel. The service was truly excellent. The staff took such personally care of us. We would especially like to mention Olivier – thanks for his delicious cocktails and the great and funny conversations. He did a fantastic job. Many thanks to Kunal, who always served us attentively and was always on top of things. Last but not least, a very special thank you to Yaadvi. Yaadvi was so genuinely warm and friendly to the guests and always handled everything very professionally to our complete satisfaction. We wish the team all the best for the future – keep up the great work!
A lovely stay in a small, private setting. The hotel has its own little beach, and everything you need is right there. It never feels like a big impersonal resort. The common areas are lush and beautifully kept, and the pool and sunbeds area is a great spot to relax, especially with the bar so close by for a drink or two in the sun.
Staff were very friendly throughout, and one person in particular made our stay: Olivier. He was warm, funny, and easy to talk to. He gave us great tips on local activities, and even showed us some of his custom cocktails. His “Ocean Whisper” is a must-try if you can get him to make it for you. He also arranged a special dinner for us to celebrate our honeymoon, accommodating my dietary restrictions. A lovely, romantic touch we won’t forget. His charm and smile really stuck with us.
The location strikes a good balance of being calm and a little tucked away, but still close enough to Grand Baie. We used the hotel’s bikes to get there, about a 15–20 minute ride. We also arranged trips to the north and south of the island through a local taxi driver, plus a catamaran trip to Île aux Cerfs. Great to organize with Seapoint as our base. A tranquil spot to come back to after a day out exploring.
Food was consistently good. The pancakes at the breakfast buffet were a personal favorite of ours. Dinner each night included a starter, main, and dessert in the room rate, with a rotating “today’s” set menu. Portions are generous and everything was tasty. I have fairly complex dietary restrictions, and the kitchen went out of their way to accommodate me when prompted.
The rooms were another highlight: very clean, with housekeeping visiting multiple times a day. Good size for a couple, with a modern, fresh interior.
All in all, a genuinely pleasant stay. Friendly faces, a beautifully kept and lush setting, and a nice sense of intimacy you don’t always get at bigger resorts. Can recommend.
We had an unforgettable stay at the Seapoint Boutique Hotel. The absolute highlight of this hotel is its exceptional staff. Everyone is incredibly helpful and genuinely tries their best to make every single guest feel special.
The hotel itself is beautifully designed, stylish, and clean, which also applies to the comfortable rooms. I must also praise the food – the dinners were simply excellent, and the breakfast was decent with a good selection. If you are looking for a hotel with top-notch service and a pleasant ambiance, this is the perfect choice!
