Paradise right here!!!
Wow! What an amazing hotel and holiday. Welcome to paradise!!
Check in was seamless, we arrived early and were given access to our room within an hour. All facilities were available for us straight away. All the reception staff were welcoming and helpful from the beginning and we never were kept waiting when we had queries.
The room was very spacious and really big bathroom. Plenty of storage space. An iron and ironing board were provided (wasn’t doing any of that!!) Kept spotlessly clean each day. We paid extra for a sea view, well worth the extra, this does overlook the pool area too, but it is not noisy after 6/7pm.
The food was plentiful and delicious. The restaurant staff were all attentive, but a special mention to Christian who was such a kind and gentle man. Knew our drinks and table preferences from our 2nd day. The speciality restaurants were all very good, try them all for different dining experiences. They are really easy to book on the RIU app, maybe not the exact days you might want…. But what else are you doing other than relaxing?!
Le Morne itself is 90 mins from the airport. A very safe place. Can walk up the beach to the left and go up the mountain, an ok walk for moderate fitness. To the right is the beach and can walk along it for a few miles. Advise would be beach shoes, it’s a tough walk in flip flops!!
You can be as active or as chilled as you want here. We did aqua gym to work off the food and drink!!
We did 2 trips, Southern Tour which was great to see the culture of Mauritius and The 5 Islands tour is a fabulous day out and plenty of music & rum punch!!! Just to note this starts and ends back near the airport so 90 mins each way.
RIU Hotels you excelled again. Mauritius we will be back.

Super holiday
We had an awesome experience in Riu Palace Le Morne. Great hotel, the best food, perfect location for windsurfing, kitesurfing and windsurfing. Special thanks to Vashish for making us the best cocktails day after day 👌👍🙏❤️
A Lovely Holiday
We've had a wonderful stay at the Riu Palace Mauritius.
Mostly all staff are very friendly & attentive, with, alongside a few others, Senura & Iris on reception, Suraj working front of house, Merci in the main restaurant during dinner service & Odell poolside deserving special mentions. They are a true credit to Riu Palace Mauritius & made our holiday that bit extra special. Thank you all so much!
Everywhere is spotlessly clean. Grounds are kept immaculate & rooms are serviced every day.
Plenty of food choice in the main restaurant during breakfast, lunch & dinner, with our only quibble being the food could be warmer. The Krystal, Kaori, Bangalore & Steakhouse restaurants, which you need to make reservations in the Riu app, are all very good & worth a visit.
We found the entertainment a little average, but the entertainment staff do put in lots of effort, and the Mauritius show was certainly worth a watch..very well put together.
The pedaloes at the watersports are worth a go, if just to get some great photos around the cove. You can also do diving, canoes or paddleboarding.
Just worth noting if you want to go 'off campus', there are only resorts in Le Morne so you'll need a taxi or hire a car to further explore.
We would have no second thoughts about staying at Riu Palace next time we holiday in Mauritius.
Fabulous
A fabulous holiday in an excellent hotel. The overall cleanliness, the friendliness of the staff and the food were all extremely good. A special mention has to be made for Vashish who served us most nights at the Le Morne Bar. He was always friendly and attentive even on busy nights. He runs a very tight ship seemingly effortlessly. A big thank you to everyone at the Riu Palace for a wonderful stay. Already planning a return.
