Exceptional Hospitality and memorable stay at Anantara Kalutara Resort
We recently had the pleasure of staying at Anantara Kalutara Resort, and it was truly a wonderful and memorable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the beautiful surroundings, luxurious atmosphere, excellent facilities, and, most importantly, the genuine hospitality of the team.
The resort is a beautiful place to relax, unwind, and enjoy a luxurious holiday. Every aspect of our stay contributed to a wonderful experience, and we genuinely enjoyed our time at the property.
However, one person who deserves a very special mention is Shamal Wanigasuriya, Assistant Front Office Manager.
Shamal is an outstanding hospitality professional. His attention to detail, professionalism, and genuine commitment to guest satisfaction were exceptional. Throughout our stay, he was extremely attentive to our needs and always made sure that everything was taken care of. What stood out most was that his service never felt routine it felt genuine and personal.
He has a wonderful ability to make guests feel welcomed, valued, and cared for. Whether it was assisting with our requests, checking that everything was going well, or simply taking the time to make sure we were comfortable, Shamal consistently demonstrated the highest level of professionalism.
His attitude, communication skills, attention to detail, and dedication to creating a memorable guest experience are qualities that truly make a difference in luxury hospitality. He represents the very best of what guest service should be.
Shamal is undoubtedly a great asset to Anantara Kalutara Resort, and the hotel is fortunate to have such a dedicated and passionate professional as part of its team. His contribution genuinely enhanced our holiday and left a lasting impression on us.
We had a fantastic holiday at Anantara Kalutara and would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a luxurious, relaxing, and memorable experience in Sri Lanka.

Wonderful resort with every amenity
A wonderful family holiday in stunning surroundings with superb facilities. Food was excellent and we managed to have excellent service throughout. Highlights included the meal at Spice Traders as well as sunsets on the beach. Even when occupancy increased towards the end of our stay, the staff were amazing in making us all feel accommodated. Would highly recommend.

Brilliant from start to finish
We had a brilliant time on this Sri Lankan cooking experience and would highly recommend it! It was so much more than just cooking. We started with a trip to the local market to choose the ingredients, followed by a fascinating tour of the garden, where we learned about the vegetables, herbs and spices grown on site.
Chef Dahsm was fantastic, so friendly, and knowledgeable. Sashitha was equally welcoming and great fun. Our children had a fun time choosing the play list. The food we prepared was absolutely delicious, and we learned so much along the way. It was served with a suprise glass of sparking wine which made it even more enjoyable.
A really authentic, fun and memorable experience. A great way to learn about the local ingredients and cuisine. Brilliant from start to finish- definitely worth doing. We can’t recommend it enough!
A well spent family weekend holiday.
It was one of the best holidays spent with family. We visited for the weekend on 8th August, and from the time of checking-in to checking-out the total service and experience was excellent. The total property and rooms were spotless and well-maintained. Special thanks to Mrs. Ishara, the restaurant hostess, Shamal and Ishara from the front office team for their warm hospitality. Highly recommend Anantara Kalutara resort, the property and its team.
