This 5-star beachside hotel at Wadduwa on Sri Lanka's west coast, south of Colombo, has a sublime setting in extensive palm-shaded grounds which lead directly onto a lovely beach. Providing a wonderful setting for a relaxing holiday it is an excellent base for exploration of the island's interior, nature reserves and game parks.

Great resort
Just had a fabulous stay at the resort. Staff can’t do enough to help you and make sure your holiday is going smoothly..from start to finish. Thoroughly enjoyed cooking demonstration with chef Madura and gym instructors Prabahath and Maleesha. Too many to mention by name but from the teams of gardeners, cleaners, barmen all work tirelessly

Excellent oceanfront getaway,not so far from the hustle and bustle of Colombo
This is my third visit to The Blue Water Hotel in the past 3 yrs. Great place by the ocean to spend some quiet time. Gorgeous sunsets,thousands of lovely parakeets,that come to roost every evening, on the 200+ coconut trees ,that are lit up from the ground,creating a surreal scene at night. This only adds to one's senses. Rooms well furnished. Great sprawling swimming pool,clean, well maintained,by dedicated Pool Staff. Also.they are ever soooo very attentive to the comfort of the guests. Special menti
on to Maleesha(gym),Wasantha of Pool Staff,both of whom were extremely helpful to me ,getting me in and out of the pool, as now I'm 83 yts old!!!! Housekeeping staff was excellent in their services. Dining room Staff was the same,specially Aruna,who was constantly attentive to my needs and other guests. Excellent Garden care staff,that maintains an excellent green areas, swept clean every day, Similarly the beach cleaning crew who has a challenging job to keep the beach area clear of debris that washes on to the walking areas. Security staff,always on the look out for safety of guests,who are constantly walking the beach area. Come here and spend a few days on during your Srilanka Vacation. Highly Recommended. I will be back,come 2027!!!
Great hotel for couples.
The hotel is beautiful and the staff were amazing. The buffet offers all sorts of food catering to different needs and tastes.
The rooms are very well air conditioned so you won't stifle in the heat. We only experienced the swimming pool and none of the spa treatments.
The location is next to a beach and there you can book additional excursions. Our room was clean and tidy as well. Also if you are a cat lover they have a cat that also has kittens there as well.

My aunt and uncle recently stayed at The Blue Water Hotel to celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary, and they had such a wonderful experience.
Everything was spot on from start to finish. The room was very clean and comfortable, the surroundings were beautiful, and the food was absolutely amazing. They really enjoyed their stay and felt very well looked after.
A special thank you to Kushani, the Front Office Manager, who provided exceptional service and was so helpful and welcoming throughout their stay. Her kindness and attention to detail made their anniversary celebration even more special.
Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and they came home with some very happy memories from their 40th anniversary. ❤️

40th wedding anniversary
Hi Team, I am writing to share some feedback regarding my parents' recent one-night stay at The Blue Water. I would like to highlight and sincerely appreciate the effort the team made to make their stay memorable. Kushani, the Front Office Manager, went above and beyond with her service.
