Location is super but service is very very poor..it is not the mark of Taj...pls pls improve the servicem After spending so much of money this is ridiculous
A very good experience at his historic hotel. A very welcoming bell team and a shout out the SFX TEAM for accommodating our out of the menu request. Only reflects the true hospitality experience.
I would like to share some feedback regarding the hotel staff. Unfortunately, the staff did not appear very welcoming or friendly, and there was a noticeable lack of smiles and warmth when interacting with guests. Their overall grooming and professional presentation also need improvement.
Above complaint only about restaurant staff and hermitage lounge only. others ares are fine. The staff’s attitude made us feel as though our requests were a burden to them in both areas. I believe restaurant and lounge staff should greet guests with a friendly smile and positive attitude. I hope management will take this feedback seriously and provide appropriate guidance or training to improve the overall guest experience.

I had always dreamed of staying at this property. Its historic location, breathtaking views, and reputation made it a bucket-list destination for me. Sadly, the saying, "Never meet your hero," proved true in this case.
Our two-night stay turned out to be one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we've had. Despite multiple issues throughout our stay, the only resolution we received was an apology.
To begin with the positives, the location is simply spectacular. The resort overlooks the Arabian Sea alongside the historic fort, creating an unforgettable setting. The welcome with traditional Goan music was warm, and the check-in process was smooth and efficient.
Unfortunately, everything started going downhill once we entered our room.
The rooms themselves are quite small, although the attached garden area with adorable rabbits is charming. The views from the property are undoubtedly world-class—but that is where the positives ended for us.
The biggest issue was the complete lack of Wi-Fi connectivity for almost an entire day. The television also remained non-functional for a significant period.
As a doctor couple, we lead extremely busy lives. We specifically chose an expensive luxury resort to disconnect from work while still having the comfort and reliability expected from a premium hotel. Instead, we spent a large part of our holiday repeatedly calling reception and waiting for technicians.
Multiple staff members visited the room and even replaced the router, but the problem remained unresolved until much later. Even more disappointing was that our calls during the night often went unanswered.
We requested either a room upgrade (which appeared to be available through my Tata Neu benefits) or at least a room change where the Wi-Fi and TV were functioning properly. Both requests were declined.
This single issue completely ruined our stay. In today's world, reliable internet is not a luxury—especially at a property carrying the Taj name. I can honestly say that this was the worst experience I have had at any Taj hotel.
Breakfast on both mornings was equally disappointing. The food lacked flavour, variety, and the quality one expects from a luxury property. It was easily one of the weakest breakfasts I have had at a five-star hotel.
Late one night, the wooden headboard behind the bed suddenly detached and fell into the gap between the bed and the wall while we were asleep. Fortunately, neither of us was injured, but it was a frightening incident that should never happen in a hotel of this standard.
Following checkout, I waited for the usual feedback email that Taj typically sends after a stay. It never arrived. When I contacted the hotel, I was told that these emails are generated automatically and that nothing could be done.
It was disappointing because, after such a poor experience, I genuinely wanted to provide detailed feedback directly through the official review system.
This property has one of the most beautiful locations in India, and it deserves service that matches its surroundings. Sadly, the hospitality, maintenance, responsiveness, and food fell far below the standards I have always associated with Taj.
Luxury hospitality is not defined by stunning views alone. It is defined by how guests are treated when things go wrong. Unfortunately, that is where this property failed us completely.
I sincerely hope Taj takes these concerns seriously because this resort has incredible potential. However, based on this experience, I cannot recommend it, and it was by far the most disappointing Taj stay I have ever had.
