The Zuri White Sands Resort benefits from a host of dining options offering a vast array of cuisines to suit every taste. There's also live music on most days and theme nights sometimes featuring traditional dance. We didn’t pay much so ok experience . Wouldn’t return .
Firstly, I was fully aware that at the time of year we were visiting that Zuri would be very quiet due to being out of season . (20th - 30th Sept ) However, I didn’t expect for cleanliness to be sub standard level at the pool. It was absolutely disgusting and hadn’t been cleaned in months. I’m not talking about chlorination (which I doubt happened every evening anyway)I’m talking about the actual pool walls and floors being scrubbed and cleaned. You could visibly see the slime, dirt, mud through the water and clinging to the walls. In the whole 10 days we were there I never once saw it being cleaned . Tiles had come off and were loose in the pool . It needs a complete refurb.
Rooms - ok standard. Robes, slippers, mini bar and bottled water supplied. Bathrooms need upgrading and a good spring clean.
Grounds - absolutely exquisite. If they spent as much time on cleaning and repairing the pool as they did on the grounds then this hotel would truly be 5*’
Food - we had breakfast included and there were enough options. No complaints and good quality. Room service was very fast. The Chinese restaurant was absolutely knock out amazing! The manager set up a table on the terrace , gave us a free desert and took 15% off our bill as they were empty the whole time we were there. I would have loved to have tried Fins seafood restaurant but it was still closed apart from snacks.
Beach - stunning sunsets ! Street dogs galore who are so friendly ! Cows being walked up and down , fishermen and black kites swooping low. None of the shacks were open as it’s too early .
Facilities - gym was decent with enough equipment . Got a good workout in
Spa - went for 3 treatments during our stay. Facial - it was an ok facial , nothing out of the ordinary for £45 . Full body massage - again nothing amazing but did the job pre flight. Indian head massage was best part. Approx £50. Pedicure - best treatment by far for £20!
Is this hotel 5*? Personally I don’t think so having compared it other hotels I’ve stayed at . Fortunately we didn’t pay that much for a 10 day stay but if I would have gone in full season and paid £800 pp more I would not have been happy one bit.
Best parts - sunsets , street dogs, friendly people and staff , the grounds
Worst parts - the pool . I honestly don’t know how someone hasn’t fallen ill ! Bathrooms are tired and not very clean. Asked for a late checkout and was happy to pay (our flight wasn’t until 11pm) was told the hotel was full so couldn’t . We asked the restaurant staff and beach bar staff who said they were not full at all for rest of week.

Warm Hospitality & Fantastic food experience
We’re hosting our wedding at Zuri White Sands, and our experience so far has been wonderful.
A special mention to Chef Saurabh, who has been incredibly helpful throughout the process. Beyond being great at what he does, his personality makes the entire experience so much easier and more enjoyable.

Stay at Zuri white sand Resort
We had a wonderful experience staying here for three nights and would happily rate it 5 out of 5 for its excellent location, beautiful ambience, spacious rooms, and great value for money. We were here to celebrate my wife’s 60th birthday, and the resort provided the perfect setting for a relaxed and memorable celebration. The entire experience was made even more special by the delightful, courteous, and respectful staff who were always happy to assist. A special thank you to Mr. Richard from Reception, Mr. Manoj from the Waterfront Restaurant, and Mr. Nagraj from Housekeeping for their warmth and attentive service, which made our stay extremely comfortable. We left feeling happy, relaxed, and truly well looked after. A lovely luxury resort that we would be happy to visit again!
