We stayed at Uday Resort, Alleppey for two nights during our recent visit to India. Overall, my experience was mixed, but unfortunately, I found myself more on the disappointed side. Having visited several resorts in and around Alleppey, I felt that the resort could offer much more for the price we paid.
Pros
Cons
Maintenance: The overall maintenance of the resort was disappointing. In my opinion, the property needs a major facelift and better upkeep if it wants to compete with some of the other resorts nearby.
Limited Activities for Kids: If you are travelling with children, there isn't much for them to do. Apart from the swimming pool, I couldn't find any proper kids' activities or a dedicated play area. This is something families may want to consider before booking.
Breakfast: We stayed for two nights, and I felt that the breakfast spread was more or less the same on both days. A little more variety would have made the breakfast experience much more interesting.
Backwater Experience: Given the resort's location close to the backwaters, I felt they had an excellent opportunity to offer tea and snacks by the backwaters, similar to what some other resorts in the area provide. However, when we asked about this, we were given an explanation that they were facing a shortage of gas because of the ongoing war. I personally found this explanation rather strange and felt that better alternatives could have been considered.
Overall
For me, the resort did not feel like good value for the money we spent. The staff and food were definitely positives, but the maintenance, lack of activities for children, limited breakfast variety, and the overall experience made me feel that there are more interesting options available in and around Alleppey at a similar price point.
This is simply my personal experience and opinion after visiting and comparing several resorts in the area. Others may have a different experience, but based on my stay, I would probably explore other options before choosing this resort again.
The stay is so pleasant and very good service and food is also very good
All staff very good and services noce
