The Niraamaya Retreats, Surya Samudra is a wonderful place to really get away from it all. Here you'll feel as far away as it's possible to feel from the stresses of daily life. This stunning beachside resort has been designed to offer the very best in relaxation as well as five star service. Using the spa facilities is a highlight for guests with plenty of enriching therapies to choose from. You can also benefit from yoga or enjoy one of the traditional performances to gain an insight into the local culture.
The five star facilities at the Niraamaya Retreats, Surya Samudra include a choice of two restaurants as well as a bar, a library and a laundry service. There's also a picture-perfect pool surrounded by palm trees where you can relax in the sunshine. The beach is also particularly beautiful, whether you opt for a cooling swim or perhaps an evening stroll as the sun goes down.
When it's time to retire to bed, your accommodation is the perfect fit with the surroundings and ambiance of this glorious resort. Each of the Heritage Classic Cottages are elegantly furnished and enjoy high ceilings and a sense of space.
All rooms are air conditioned and have their own sit-out veranda along with a king size four poster bed, LCD TV, telephone, hairdryer, mini-bar (at a fee), tea/coffee making facilities, Wi-Fi and even cotton organic bathrobes and comfy slippers.

Very bad service they are ignoring us and no refund
As a group we have paid more than 10000 dollars and need it to be refunded we have contacted a lawyer but they are ignoring us they are not trustworthy and we have not used your accommodation and asked for refund during the refunding period and it’s been more than a year and still nothing this is outrageous

Exceptional hospitality
They have exceptional hospitality. The behavior of the staff is warm and helpful. The location of the property is right at the beach with a wonderful view. I and wife had a great time. We would love to visit again.
Exceptional Stay – Even Better the Second Time
This was my second visit to Niraamaya Retreats Kovalam, and this time I decided to bring my parents along so they could experience the resort as well. We booked the 7-night Ayurvedic package, and from the moment we arrived until the day we left, everything was wonderful.
The attention to detail throughout the resort was exceptional — from the food and rooms to the spa, Front Office and housekeeping teams. Everyone made us feel genuinely cared for.
A very special mention must go to Mr. Swamy, the F&B Manager, who truly went above and beyond to make our journey exceptional. He personally made sure that all our meals and dietary requirements were taken care of throughout the stay. His level of care, leadership and attention to guests is outstanding — in my opinion, he truly deserves to be an F&B Director.
His restaurant team — Samson, Sherin, Chandana, Biranchit and Baro — were equally delightful. Always welcoming, attentive and friendly, they made every meal enjoyable.
A huge thank you also to the Spa and Ayurveda team, led by Dr. John, together with Jithin, Sindhu, Shyam and Dr. Lakhmi. And of course, a very special mention to my therapist, Hima, who was amazing throughout my seven days of Ayurvedic treatments. She gave her absolute best every single day, and I could genuinely feel the care and dedication she put into each treatment.
I also want to recognize the Housekeeping Manager and Executive Housekeeper. These two ladies were incredibly friendly and always made sure that anything related to our rooms was attended to immediately. The entire housekeeping team did a wonderful job.
Even the gardeners deserve a mention! They were always smiling and greeting us whenever we crossed paths, which added to the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the resort.
What makes Niraamaya special is not only the beautiful property, but the people behind the experience. Coming back for a second time and bringing my parents with me made this visit even more meaningful.
We left extremely happy and are already talking about returning again. Thank you to the entire Niraamaya Kovalam team for another memorable stay. ❤️

Must Visit property in Kovalam!!!
