We have been staying here frequently over the years and would like to point out on July 28th and 29th tables / chairs were occupying the main lobby from the restaurant area at breakfast .This gives a poor impression for a brand like Intercontinental - we tried speaking to several people in the hotel to remove the tables after breakfast but apart from not bothering to listen , the Front Desk staff did not even have the courtesy to look up when the guest is talking to them or they were on the phone and neither doing justice to the guest or person on the phone - we have noticed this with the Front Desk even earlier - the only exception is Elsa . This issue was finally resolved few days later only because one of the long staying guests spoke to the Hotel manager.
Certain observations in the gym on both the ground floor and the 17th floor . Usually gyms do not allow anyone under. 16 years but on more than one occasion noticed guests with children, in this case a guest with his two children in the gym downstairs were sitting on the chairs and talking loudly disturbing everyone , the gym attendant did not say anything. A similar experience on the 17th floor gym , few days ago where a young boy was not only running up and down , using the treadmill, lifting weights - regret to state no staff was present during this time finally the lifeguard from the pool came as he heard the noise . The gym Is not a play area . Not only is it unsafe for young children to use the equipment but is a huge disturbance for everyone using the gym .
The standards of this hotel residence are falling, perhaps they don’t take feedback seriously .

The staff at the main IHC Festival city are very helpful - Ahmed , Rajendra at the entrance as well all the Concierge services who assisted with the Shuttle services back to the Residence .

An Exceptional Stay Beyond Expectations
My stay at the InterContinental Dubai Festival City was truly exceptional and beyond my expectations. From the moment I arrived until the day I checked out, I experienced outstanding hospitality, impeccable service, and genuine warmth from the entire team. The hotel itself is beautiful, the rooms are immaculate, comfortable, and well-maintained, and every detail reflects the high standards and luxury of the InterContinental brand. One of the things I truly appreciated about the hotel is its excellent location. Being directly connected to Dubai Festival City Mall made my stay even more enjoyable and convenient. Having easy access to shopping, restaurants, entertainment, and all essential services in one place added so much comfort and made everything effortless. I would also like to mention Choix Café inside the hotel and all the wonderful team members there. I truly enjoyed having my daily coffee there during my stay. The warm atmosphere, friendly service, and attention to detail made every visit a special part of my day. Every member of the team was welcoming, professional, and always made me feel comfortable and valued. I would also like to express my heartfelt gratitude for making my birthday celebration this year so incredibly special. The hotel team and the Choix Café team surprised me and celebrated my birthday in such a beautiful and thoughtful way. It was a truly unforgettable moment that I will always remember. The effort, kindness, and personal touches they added made me feel genuinely appreciated and cared for. It was one of the most memorable birthday experiences I have ever had. However, what truly made my experience unforgettable was the incredible people behind the service. I would especially like to recognize Mazen, who went above and beyond in every possible way. His kindness, professionalism, patience, and genuine willingness to help made a remarkable difference throughout my stay. No matter what I needed, Mazen was always there with a warm smile, a positive attitude, and a true desire to make sure everything was taken care of perfectly. He made me feel valued and well cared for, and his exceptional service is something I will always remember. Mazen is truly an asset to the hotel, and I sincerely hope the management recognizes his dedication and the important role he plays in creating memorable experiences for guests. Team members like him are one of the main reasons guests choose to return. I would also like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Zita, Zein, and all the wonderful staff members throughout the hotel. Every person I interacted with was kind, respectful, professional, and welcoming. From the front desk to the different hotel teams and the Choix Café team, everyone contributed to making my stay comfortable, special, and full of beautiful memories. I would like to express my sincere appreciation to all the amazing team members who made my experience so special. Their dedication, attention to detail, and genuine care truly did not go unnoticed. I loved everything at the Intercontinental Residence Suites Dubai…it was a recommendation from a friend, but I would highly recommend it to…the professionalism of the staff and the beauty of the rooms are amazing absolutely 10/10!!
