Hi, Great experience. Nice view, I would like to thank lido restaurant,room service,and the wormly well coming receptionist. (Thanuja,Sabina, and our roomboy)
Appalling time keeping
Was sold this as a staycation experince with early check in (subect to availbility) from 12:00. I told the hotel we aimed to arrive early and they replied they would note it on the booking and do their best, but it was not guaranteed (which is fair enough, but if it is not guaranteed, then you wonder why they mention it at all as anyone can presumably ask for an early check in). As it was, we got held up and didn't turn up until 3:15pm anyway (15 minutes after the normal check in time). But when we tried to check in, we were told the room was not ready and could we wait a "couple of minutes" on the sofa by the check in. We did so and after about ten minutes, the lady came over and said it would be another 15-20 minutes. You would have expected them to offer a coffee or something under the circumstances, but there was no such offer. We relocated to the cafe (and paid for our own coffee). Then the lady came over and said it would be a further 45 minutes (making the available time 4:35). She offered a temporary non-balcony room (we had paid extra to guarantee a balcony), so we declined and said we would wait in the cafe. It is now 4:42 and there has been no futher communication from them.

A wonderful experience hosting our family get-together at QE2! Special thanks to Gouri for her attentive support, careful planning and help with all our requests. Shahin and his team managed everything beautifully on the day and took great care of our guests. A memorable evening - highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
