When you first enter the atrium you get the wow factor….unfortunately it stops there. The hotel is dated and in desperate need of a facelift. I changed rooms 3 times because the air conditioning didn’t operate enough to cool the room. 1 room the vanity was cracked, 3rd room the shower drain cover was missing. The pools are in need of overhaul…many tiles on the pool floor and walls are missing. The hotel is not ADA compliant in many areas. The food is very bland and at the buffet at Tattish…food has been sitting out and to say the food was mildly warm is an understatement. I had a friend staying at a nearby resort and wS told the hotel did not allow visitors which i thought was ridiculous . I visited another new resort while i was there and when they heard where i was staying i was told Oasis is more of a “Spring Break” crowd. Management needs to do a better job with climatization Of common areas…you go from conditioned spaces to humid spaces which is a breeding ground for mold.
We had a great time and the team at Oasis was very friendly. Gerardo in Coyote Bites was very prompt and very patient with our continued ordering.
Would visit again
Was huge and so much to do. I just did not like getting lost every turn I took. But the staff is so helpful. Our housekeeper Josefina Martinez Jimenez has done an outstanding job cleaning our room. It would have so much sand and the bathroom was always crazy after a trip to the beach. She would leave it spotless and we are so grateful for her. The ONE AND ONLY person who was not nice this whole time was the lady who worked at the store where they sell souvenirs. She was there on 8-11-2026 at 6:30 PM and was not very helpful when I asked her about Pesos and needed help with US dollars or Pesos. She told me after the fact that I should have chosen Pesos instead of US dollars cause it’s a lesser charge. She tells me this after I paid and she had an attitude. This is someone who should not be working where people ask questions and representing the Resort. Other than her everyone has been wonderful. I wasn’t going to let one rude person ruin my joy. Food has been okay nothing to rave about…the Dos Lunas reservation situation is ridiculous. That’s another thing that’s annoying. Another thing that’s bothersome on the trip is the beach access is so confusing to get to. The beach are does not filter out the sargassum so if you don’t mind hills of it on the beach then this Resort is okay. I saw other resorts on other parts filter and clean the beaches. This resort does not. I will definitely check for that next time I book a resort. But it was still a beautiful experience we will forever hold in our hearts. Was affordable and you get what you pay for.
⭐☆☆☆☆ – Save Your Money and Stay Somewhere Else
I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience has been so disappointing that I feel obligated to warn other travelers.
I’m currently staying at this hotel, and it has been one problem after another. If you’re considering booking here, I strongly recommend doing your research before spending your money.
The biggest issue was the excursion the hotel helped us book. We were a group of seven people, and despite arriving on time, we were forgotten and left behind. Instead of the transportation we were expecting, we had to take a taxi. To make matters worse, the taxi’s air conditioning barely worked, so we were hot, uncomfortable, and frustrated before the tour had even started.
We were also told the boat would be adults-only, but that wasn’t true. The boat was overcrowded, loud, and nothing like what was described to us. The ride to Isla Mujeres took about 45 minutes, and the water was so rough that several people felt sick. The experience was so unpleasant that our group decided to return early instead of enjoying the island.
The return trip was even worse. There weren’t even enough seats for everyone on the boat, which was unacceptable and made the ride back feel disorganized and unsafe.
When we brought our concerns to the hotel supervisor, Israel, we expected someone to take responsibility and make things right. Instead, we were offered only a small discount that didn’t come close to making up for the ruined experience. It felt like customer satisfaction wasn’t a priority.
Unfortunately, the problems didn’t stop there. The food throughout our stay has been extremely disappointing. The quality, taste, and overall dining experience have been well below what we expected from a resort.
I’m writing this review while I’m still staying here because I don’t want other families or travelers to waste their hard-earned money the way we did. Vacations are expensive, and people deserve honest information before booking.
There are many resorts in Cancun. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this one. Do yourself a favor, read reviews carefully, compare your options, and consider staying somewhere else.
Just save your money .... avoid this bs Poor quality and buffets are bland, repetitive, and low-grade. Gave me repeat stomach issues. Specialty restaurants are hard to get into and reserve. Understaffed bars and front desks result in hours-long check-in delays and slow drink service. And absolutely no customer service skills no way i have an emergency and they react so slow and nonchalant. Elevator shortages: Slow or broken elevators create heavy congestion in high-rise towers.Room and Facility MaintenanceOutdated conditions: Worn-out furniture, spotty air conditioning, and dated decor.Plumbing and upkeep flaws: Inconsistent hot water, malfunctioning toilets, and occasional reports of dampness or musty smells.
