Lives up to its name!
We went to Haven as a group of 6 from the UK, for my partners 30th birthday, and we really did have one of the best weeks. We all stayed in a partial ocean view junior swim up, and the team very kindly put our rooms next to eachother (as well as some nice surprises for the birthday boy) so it was really nice being able to spend time in our swim ups next to eachother when having some slow mornings or late afternoons (or a few midnight drinks with the 24/7 roomservice). A special highlight was the chefs table at Olios, which we did on my partners birthday; 10 courses with drinks pairings, open kitchen, and an amazing team taking you through every course - all of which were amazing (and we all give a special shoutout to the cream of habanero soup). Every restaurant, every bar - inside and swim ups - and the coffee shop/deli (which is an excellent bonus in an all inclusive!) we all thoroughly enjoyed; and the selection at both breakfast and lunch every day at the buffet really was one of, if not the best we’ve had (a shoutout to all the staff at the buffet restaurant also, all very kind and welcoming, and gave my partner a very nice cheer and tequila on his birthday). I’m no architect, but I think the design of the entire hotel is pretty amazing, with incredible views all around. Really nice having music in the lobby bar every night starting later. Tepankyaki is something I would recommend also; the guys really put on a show! One of the best things of this hotel is the whole team that works there - a special shoutout from all of us is for Jorge and the guys who work the bar in Limes, which became a staple for us before every evening meal. Had a good laugh every night with them. Also thank you to Victoria for helping to organise our chefs table booking ahead of time, and things for the birthday. It really meant a lot! We will genuinely be ensuring we come back to Haven in the (hopefully not so far) future!

Very relaxing vacation
Location is good, near the airport for easy travel. Atmosphere was quiet and relaxing with fun entertainment. Room was quiet and clean. Kept cool and would highly recommend the jetted tub. The cool breeze in the evenings off the ocean while relaxing in the jetted tub was amazing. Value, I would say was well worth the money. Upgrading to serenity made it that more special. Having the butler to help with all your needs and schedule all your reservations was so worth it, the spa that comes with the upgrade was a great value. The food was great. The service was great. The only downfall is the awful sargrassam and smell. The beach otherwise would be beautiful. There pools could stand to be a little cooler as they were pretty warm and not refreshing in the heat. A special thanks to Enrique, Colonga, Carlos and Arturo. These three were amazing! I can't say enough good things about these guys. The serenity lounge was nice and cool and had the best chocolate! Visited the coffee shop but always so full from other options we didn't really try it but looked amazing!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An Unforgettable Stay at Haven Riviera Cancun
My wife and I had a wonderful experience at Haven from the moment we arrived. As Serenity Club guests, we were welcomed with warm towels and escorted to the beautiful private lounge, where we checked in while enjoying a delicious Mezcalita. We were also able to select a bottle for our room and chose an excellent reposado tequila.
Our butler, Denisee, truly made our stay unforgettable. She arranged our dinners, took care of every detail, and prepared beautiful surprises for my birthday. What impressed us most was that even on her day off, she continued checking on us to make sure we had everything we needed. Exceptional service!
We also want to recognize Mr. Aquino, who took the time to understand our food intolerances and always offered alternatives so we could fully enjoy breakfast and lunch.
The resort is spacious, elegant, and beautiful, and we loved the nightly aromatherapy in our room.
We will definitely return. The resort itself is amazing, but the wonderful staff truly takes the experience to another level. Thank you Denisee, Mr. Aquino, and the entire Haven team for making my birthday and our stay unforgettable. ❤️
Amazing Staff, Beautiful Resort — But Check the Beach Conditions!
Beautiful hotel, great atmosphere, and amazing service! 🌴✨ Special shoutout to Colunga, Paloma, Alma & Sergio and Aquino you were absolutely incredible and made our stay 10,000% better! ❤️
One important note: the beach was completely closed due to sargassum, and we were unfortunately not informed when booking. So if the beach is a priority for you, definitely check the conditions before coming.
Beautiful property with some staff issues
Pros: The property was beautiful. The pools were beautiful. Most of the food was great! The buffet was excellent. Always appointed with fresh delicious food. The servers and chefs in the buffet were great. Housekeeping staff was amazing. Kept our rooms clean and comfortable. Paloma, Alan, Diana, and Ricardo were four of the amazing servers in the pool areas, including the swim out rooms. These individuals displayed five star hospitality. They made our stay fun and made us feel welcome! We also had a pool concierge that was available to us. His name was Israel. He was absolutely amazing, and helped us with every need with a smile on his face! Miguel in the serenity lounge was always kind, smiling and happy to assist us. I got an ear infection and needed a prescription. He worked very hard to get my medicine delivered to the property and then delivered to my room quickly. There were lots of fun activities in the pool and in other areas of the resort. Like dancing classes, exercise classes, as well as macramé art class. The entertainment staff was great.
- Cons- sadly we did encounter a handful of rude staff. Kristina, a host in the buffet, did not greet us and seemed annoyed to be seating us 30 minutes prior to closing breakfast. She then came to our table to rudely warn us (and only us) that they were closing in 10 minutes while rolling her eyes. This got our day off to a negative start. In Satsu the male (forgot his name) host was rude and refused to let our group of 10 be seated together even though we had a confirmed reservation made through our “Butler“, and even after the roof began leaking on us. Sadly even after bringing this concern to the Serenity desk we were still unable to sit together.
Another big problem for us was the air conditioning was poor in many areas of the resort. I had an unbearable night the first night before we changed rooms. I even called the front desk, asking for a fan and was told they did not have any. The only nightclub they have does not have air-conditioning. It was very humid and hot in there. The rooms in the older part of the building show a lot of wear and tear. In our first room, the shower door handle was falling off. I got trapped on the balcony the second day because the door was so heavy and seemed to have a lot of moisture damage, and only has a tiny sliver to grip to open it back up. Thankfully, I brought my phone on the balcony and was able to call for help. The spa was beautiful and the staff there was amazing. Eva was my masseuse. She is great.
-Serenity Package- I do not believe it is worth the money. And it is a lot of extra money to Upgrade. It supposedly comes with a Butler. We only had minimal text communication with our Butler and only saw him one time during our one week stay. Even when two of us had medical issues, we never even heard from him to ask if we were OK. We also had a very hard time getting several of the things we requested. I had to request a razor three times before I got it. Some things we asked for never came. At a certain point you just give up. The biggest pro of serenity package is the serenity lounge, which is a very beautiful and spacious air-conditioned area with great bartending staff and attentive concierge personnel. This area also has snacks throughout the day and specialty self service coffee and tea, as well as wine, champagne, and spirits. We may have considered a return visit to this property if we had received any communication or apologies about the multiple issues we had. No one followed up with us. When we checked out, we were not even asked how our stay was.
