A Wonderful Week With Some Hits and Misses
We just spent a week at GR Solaris Caribe and overall had a really enjoyable stay. We had some wonderful experiences, met some great people, and made some memories that we will definitely take home with us.
The staff were one of the best parts of our stay. Yzrael, who handled the daily pool activities, was outstanding. As a teacher myself, I was really impressed by how he connected with the guests, remembered people's names and made everyone feel welcome. He brought so much energy to the activities and made you want to join in.
The food was a mixed experience for us. Marco Polo was definitely the highlight of our week. We enjoyed our first dinner so much that we made another reservation before we even left. The food was fresh, tasty, and served in perfect portions, and our waiter was wonderful both nights. Café Solaris was also our favorite breakfast spot, and we really enjoyed the variety and fresh food.
Our AquaWorld Isla Mujeres catamaran excursion was another highlight. The atmosphere on the boat was so much fun, and the snorkeling, open bar, and time on Isla Mujeres made it a memorable day.
There were also some disappointments. The Gala Dinner looked beautiful, and the entertainment was excellent, but the food was not what we expected from a gala. Our experience at Veneto was also disappointing. The WiFi was extremely inconsistent, especially in the evenings, and constantly having to reconnect became frustrating.
Our room view was another disappointment. As members, I understood that we had a guaranteed ocean view, so I had a different expectation of what that would look like. We could see the ocean, but the view was very limited and obstructed. I learned an important lesson from this experience: never assume what a membership benefit means. Ask exactly what is being guaranteed.
Despite the disappointments, we had a good vacation, and there were definitely more positives than negatives. We enjoyed the beach, pool, entertainment, activities, and the beautiful Cancún setting. Most importantly, some people went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable.
Overall, we had a very good week at GR Solaris Caribe. There are definitely areas that could be improved, but there were also some wonderful experiences and people who made our vacation memorable.

Paradise
The food, people and atmosphere are incredible. The room is beautiful with an ocean view. Ross, Iiavany, Maggie, and all are incredible at what they do and made us feel like family. I highly recommend staying here and getting a timeshare!
