Stay at hotel Catalonia Moroma Mexico
I have 2 major points to rate this hotel with 3 points : The air conditioning was very bad. At night the temperature was 27 degrees C . We weren’t able to sleep. It was hot and noisy (70 db) from the air condition unit. Also there is a smell of mold. The temperature in common areas was also high. Sweating was nonstop. On positive note the staff were very nice and friendly. The food is great. It was very clean and with everyday room service . Almost all of the staff spoke English. Good fasciitis in general.
Average resort
Over rated. Paid for privilege but staff didn’t know what that meant. No turn down service. Poor cleaning standards. People feeding animals around the coffee shop. Bland repetitive buffet food. Breakfast at the restaurant was great although it’s slow getting in some mornings. People hog beds all day either towels. No drink service on privilege beach section. Loads sargassum.
Slow check out and rude reception staff. Wouldn’t go again. Hotel next door looked nice though !
Lovely hotel, beautiful
We have had a wonderful experience here, the hotel is beautiful & the staff are welcoming & kind. Jesus Palma was our poolside waiter, he was friendly, kind & funny, always ready to serve us with a smile. Towards the end of the holiday he knew exactly what we wanted & made sure we had what we wanted/needed, nothing was too much for him. Would definitely come back here, it’s a beautiful part of the world, the beaches are amazing& the trips are well worth the money. Mexico is a wonderful country, rich with history & friendly locals.

Skip the busy lifestyle
It is a very good place to relax and or have fun.
Girls trip
We had a 7 night stay to celebrate a birthday. Glad we upgraded due to the restaurant Be loved, we all enjoyed the elevated meals. The staff at Be loved was excellent and all our meals were very good. The resort only has one location for breakfast, the buffet, so this gave us an option. Overall this is a bit smaller of a resort with only one pool. By doing the upgrade it also had our rooms much closer to the pool and beach. Resort works very hard at the removal of seaweed, which allowed us to enjoy the beach often. All the dinner restaurants were pleasant, with the Mexican one having the most attentive staff, and the steak house needs vast improvements. The manager to the steak house was rude, and simply un caring that our steak request of mid rare came out overly well done. He proceeded to tell the person in our dinner table there was nothing wrong with it! Our point was why ask how you want your steak cooked. Overall a very pleasant stay with lobby bartenders which made great drinks, and attentive waitstaff. Good place for families, since it’s smaller you can keep on good eye on the younger ones.
