Grand Velas Riviera Maya

This was our fourth visit to Grand Velas Riviera Maya, and once again we had an amazing family vacation. We are already booked to come back again this fall with family friends. Returning to Grand Velas is honestly one of the highlights of our year and something our whole family always looks forward to.

A huge thank-you to our concierges, Jeronimo and Nicolas. They took such great care of us and our kids throughout the entire trip. They arranged surprises for the kids on multiple occasions, as well as a really special birthday surprise for me. They were always looking for little ways to make the trip extra special and make sure everyone in our family had their own memorable moments.

The effort they put in never felt forced or like they were simply doing their job. They genuinely cared about our family, paid attention to the little details, and were always checking to make sure we had everything we needed. It’s that kind of personal service that keeps us coming back.

We also want to give a special thank-you to Aaron, the Experience Manager. He went above and beyond to make special arrangements for us and helped make this trip especially memorable. The extra effort from Aaron, Jeronimo, and Nicolas made a huge difference to our vacation. They are a big part of the reason we continue returning and why we are excited to bring another family with us this fall.

Our kids also absolutely love the Kids’ Club and all of the activities. A special thank-you to Abby, Xochi (I hope I spelled that correctly), Jimmy, and Allen. They are so great with the kids and do an amazing job keeping them entertained, involved, and excited about all the activities. Knowing our kids are happy, having fun, and being so well cared for is a huge part of what makes the vacation enjoyable for us as parents too. Our kids always look forward to seeing the kids club and activities team again.

There were too many great members of the pool staff to name individually, and I don’t want to accidentally leave anyone out. The entire pool team was excellent. Everyone was friendly, attentive, hardworking, and always made sure we were having a great time.

One of our favourite parts of returning is seeing so many familiar faces. From the buffet waiters to the restaurant managers and their teams, so many people know us and our kids by name now. It’s always a treat to see everyone again, and it makes coming back feel like we are being welcomed by friends.

The resort is obviously beautiful, but the people and the level of service are what really make Grand Velas special. It’s the extra effort, personal touches, and genuine care from the staff that keep us returning.

Thank you again to Aaron, Jeronimo, Nicolas and the entire Grand Velas team for another amazing vacation. We can’t wait to come back this fall and see everyone again!

We had an absolutely exceptional stay at Grand Velas Riviera Maya. This was our second visit, and once again, the resort exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, the service, hospitality, and attention to detail were outstanding. Our personal concierge, Jorge, was exceptional. He handled changes to our dining reservations, arranged our family photos, assisted with anything we needed in our room, and was always available to help. His professionalism and attention to detail made our vacation effortless. One of the things that makes Grand Velas truly special is how they personalize the experience. We were celebrating birthdays during our stay, and the staff went above and beyond. They celebrated with us by singing Happy Birthday, and on different evenings we were surprised with a live saxophone player or violinist. Those moments were incredible and created memories our family will always cherish. We also spent a lot of time at the beautiful pool, where Jose provided wonderful service. Having him remember our family and greet us when we returned another day made us feel genuinely welcomed. Our kids had an amazing time with the daily activities, including soccer, water polo, the Kids’ Club, and Teens’ Club. One of our favorite memories was watching them play soccer on the beach late one afternoon with the ocean and beautiful scenery behind them. It was surreal and a perfect ending to our trip. The food and service throughout the resort were incredible, including room service. We dined at Frida, Lucca, Piaf, and Sen Lin, and enjoyed Lucca so much that we returned for a second dinner. Every restaurant was a 10/10 experience with the ambiance, food, presentation, and service were exceptional. A special thank you to Gamma and Oscar, Sergio and Pedro, and Santos and German for taking such great care of us. I know I am forgetting a few names, because there were so many wonderful people who made our stay special. What truly separates Grand Velas is its people and their attention to the smallest details. This was an amazing family vacation, and after two visits, Grand Velas Riviera Maya continues to impress us. We cannot recommend this resort highly enough and will absolutely return. A true 10/10 experience!

We just returned from GVRM. Wow! The food was 10/10, the pools were 10/10 and the service was 20/10!! A big shout out to Jose Juan and Miguel who were our amazing concierges. They made sure we were taken care of and thought of it all. The service extends across the resort. Everyone we interacted with was so kind and helpful. We were spoiled and I’m not sure we will ever go to another resort this nice! We also took advantage of the Kids and Teens Club and the babysitting - all of which were great. The only downside was the beach and water this time of year. The staff worked very hard to clear the sargassum but it’s hard to keep up. We knew this going in and were still able to spend great time on the beach doing sandcastles etc. Highly recommend!
