Perfect place for a Birthday getaway!
Amazing Stay From Start to Finish
Our stay at Secrets Maroma Beach was absolutely amazing—the resort was beautiful, the beach was gorgeous, and the service was outstanding. A special thank you to Roger, our concierge in Building 26, who was incredibly helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. Sergio at Portofino was also amazing; his service was so great that we went back to Portofino twice because of him! We also want to recognize Victor by the pool, who was always attentive and kept our drinks coming with a great attitude. Overall, we had an unforgettable stay and would definitely recommend Secrets Maroma Beach and come back again!
A+ Resort!
My wife and I just spent four wonderful days at Secrets Maroma Beach Resort, and overall, we had an excellent experience. From the beautiful resort and excellent food to the incredibly friendly and hospitable staff, we had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this resort.
A special shout-out to several members of the staff who made our trip even better. Our concierge, Roger, was outstanding. He was extremely informative, always greeted us with a smile, and was genuinely helpful throughout our stay.
By the pool, Ezequiel was fantastic. He was incredibly friendly and welcoming and did a great job explaining everything we needed to know about the cabana. His service really helped make our pool days relaxing and enjoyable.
At the Preferred Club bar, Javier and Eli were excellent bartenders. They always greeted us with a smile, made great drinks, and were just genuinely pleasant people to be around.
On the entertainment side, Marcelo and Isabel were a lot of fun and did a great job making the activities and events enjoyable. And Enrique at the gym was also extremely helpful and polite. Everyone we interacted with seemed committed to making sure guests had a great experience.
The food throughout the resort was excellent, and the overall service and hospitality were truly impressive. We felt welcomed from the moment we arrived and thoroughly enjoyed our four days.
The only downside during our stay was the amount of seaweed along the beach. However, this appeared to be a seasonal issue affecting many of the beaches in the area—not something specific to Secrets Maroma Beach.
Overall, we had a fantastic trip and would absolutely recommend Secrets Maroma Beach Resort. The combination of the beautiful property, great food, and especially the wonderful staff made it a memorable vacation. We would definitely come back!

A week that will last a lifetime.
Overall, an amazing experience—from the first “Welcome Home” to the final, sad goodbye. The warm and welcoming atmosphere went above and beyond anything we could have expected. This was my first time staying at an all-inclusive resort, as well as my first time spending more than four days at one destination, and it truly felt like home. The staff quickly became like family and were there to celebrate an unforgettable week of birthdays and our engagement.
I was especially curious to see how the food would be, and it completely exceeded my expectations. We never got bored and enjoyed a different, delicious meal every time. Everything was high quality, and you could genuinely taste the care that went into every dish.
The grounds were absolutely immaculate. Every part of the resort was beautifully maintained, and you could see how much care and attention went into keeping everything looking its best. From the landscaping to the common areas, the entire property was stunning.
The entertainment was another highlight of our stay. All of the shows and performances were incredible and will not soon be forgotten. Our favorites were the Rock Show and the Mayan Ceremony—both were truly memorable and added something special to an already amazing week.
The level of service throughout the entire resort was exceptional. From the front desk to the landscaping team, everyone was professional, attentive, and incredibly well trained. We were always greeted with a genuine smile, and having many of the same staff members take care of us in different areas of the resort made the experience feel even more personal and truly gave us that “home away from home” feeling.

Rodger was our go-to throughout the entire trip. He always knew what we had going on each day and found ways to make every moment feel extra special.
Patricia kept our room spotless and provided wonderful service throughout our stay.
Hugo felt like having an uncle or brother hanging out with us all week. He was always there with a warm welcome and seamless service, and he made us feel completely at home.
Angel always kept the vibe going! We only wish we had gotten his number so we could hang out next time. Mr. Vibe, always!
Luis and the entire lobby bar service team were fantastic, and the Coco Café staff were always quick, friendly, and consistently made high-quality drinks.
What made this trip so memorable wasn’t just the beautiful resort, immaculate grounds, incredible food, entertainment, or amenities—it was the people. They turned a vacation into an experience and a celebration that we’ll never forget.

We had such an amazing stay at Secrets Maroma Beach! The entire resort was beautiful, extremely clean, and well maintained. Our room was always spotless, and all of the restaurants were super clean. The food was one of our favorite parts of the trip. Every restaurant we tried was really good, and the breakfast buffet had so many great options. We also loved Coco Café—the coffee was amazing and became a daily stop for us! We stayed in the Preferred Club, which we definitely recommend. It gave us access to the Preferred beach bar and lounge, where we could enjoy top-shelf liquor and some extra amenities that made the experience even better. There was always something fun to do during the day. We played pool volleyball and joined in on other activities around the resort. At night, we did karaoke, which was so much fun! We absolutely LOVED Angel from the entertainment team—he had the best energy and made everything so entertaining. Our concierge, Roger, was also amazing and very helpful throughout our stay. One thing to know is that this resort is definitely more of a couples/relaxing vacation spot rather than a party resort. There isn’t a huge nightlife or party scene, which is perfect if you’re looking to relax. If you do want a night out, we went to Coco Bongo over the weekend and had SO much fun! We booked the trip through Amstar, felt very safe going there and back, and it was a great way to get some party/nightlife in while still enjoying a relaxing resort. Overall, we had an amazing experience and would definitely recommend Secrets Maroma Beach! 🌴☀️🥂
BEST Resort!
Secrets Maroma has to be one of the best resorts I've been to! It is definitely geared towards couples, so I would not advise it for a girl's trip or something similar. The food, the service, the cleanliness, everything was great. It definitely gives you that luxury experience. I went with my boyfriend, and we really enjoyed the swim up room, along with the other amenities offered and the nightly entertainment. 10/10. I would definitely recommend to any couple looking for a romantic getaway.
