Disappointing Stay – Under Construction, Misrepresented, and Poor Service
We booked an all-inclusive, adults-only double bed swim-out room, but our experience was far from what was advertised.
Construction Issues: The swim-out rooms do not exist yet—they are still being built. There is currently no "adults-only" section because the hotel is undergoing heavy construction. Dining Limitations: Most of the advertised restaurants were closed due to renovations. Between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM, there are zero open dining options or buffets; you are forced to go to your room and order room service. Pests & Wildlife: The mosquitoes were terrible, and coatis (Mexican raccoons) were everywhere—including inside the hallways and running through the Seaside Grill restaurant while we were trying to eat. Service & Entertainment: We felt we were treated poorly by staff because we were not Hispanic. Additionally, all entertainment was exclusively in Spanish, with no effort to cater to diverse cultures, except for the DJ at the club who occasionally varied the music.
Avoid booking this resort until construction is fully complete and staff training is addressed.

This place was amazing! I loved everything about our stay at Dreams Tulum. Erick was so cool and made me dance when i didn’t think I could!

Great trip to Tulum
Fantastic resort with really great staff. Attentive and accomodating. Grounds were beautiful and well cared for. Pools were great and beaches were very relaxing with plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas. Food everywhere and the rooms were so nice and housekeeping kept it so clean. Loved the visit.
A dream experience
This was a great resort with lots of amenities, we did not expect. The food and drink were great, lots of care and variety. The staff was so friendly and caring. Rooms were great. There were lots of organized activities for both adults and kids. The kids center was open all day and every day had a new activity. The staff was lovely and were caring to the kids. The adult activities ranged from exercise classses to evening shows such as discos, mariachi band, acrobatic. The experience was really beyond expectations. We will definitely come back.
