We stayed here for the last 5 nights of our month long trip around Asia. We wanted somewhere to completely chill and relax and this place fitted the bill!
Lat time we stayed at the Hard Rock in Kuta which was amazing!
The one thing that lets the hotel down was the beach. There was a fair bit of rubbish in the sea (not the hotels fault) so we didn't really use it.
The pool and grounds are beautiful! The gardens are truly outstanding!
ood and service was good. We could only eat in the Gardens cafe for breakfast as there was always a 30 minute wait which we didn't want to do.
We ate in the Japanese restaurant instead which was brilliant. Food ws lovely and great service.
We did love this hotel but the pool at the Hard Rock was a lot better that may sway us next time.
We loved the Bali Collection, great entertainment and food right next door.
If there was a lot going on in the hotel we didn't really know as it wasn't communicated so we ate out every evening and also went back to the Hard Rock on our last night for the live bands.
Beautiful hotel, great service and we would stay again.
Amazing resort for families. Loads to do from playing squash, table tennis, bike riding, golf simulation, pool all the things. Great pools to relax by also. Getting to seminyak and other places was also very easy with a driver. The food was exceptional in all the different restaurants and the breakfast buffet was next level. The rooms are also big and clean with all the mod cons. Highly recommend, especially with the all inclusive package.
Great place to stay, beautiful breakfasts and restaurants. The staff a very friendly and helpful. It is a huge place we got lost a few times, but we loved the whole experience and hopefully will be back.
After spending a few nights in Ubud, we changed things up and had a great family stay at Grand Hyatt Bali. Both the pools and beach are lovely for adults and kids alike. Hotel also has an excellent location!
A reasonable hotel but would not return, it did not impress me at all, and it wasn’t particularly cheap.
I do appreciate the hotel is very full at the moment, but here is my summary of the family experience:
Supposed to be 5-star but it is nowhere near the quality of some other 5-star hotels in the area.
Kids club is a small room with a pool table, air hockey table and 2 video consoles, and no supervision.
Pool loungers all fully reserved by 0830 and then very hard to find any shade anywhere.
Restaurants all fully booked unless you book at least one day in advance, which means literally nowhere to eat in the hotel other than a cafe/bar.
Pool food and drink service is very slow. Some days lunch orders took an hour to arrive, drinks about 20-30 mins.
The two good things: the club facility is nice and relaxing but obviously requires having booked a club room, which we did, and I am glad for it. Most nights the snacks being served there were almost enough to become your evening meal and it was a nice way to have an evening cocktail.
Second great thing, the staff, pretty much without exception they were all very happy and polite, but it did sometimes seem like there weren’t enough of them to cope with a full hotel.
Overall it was okay but I would not return.
