Nusa Dua Beach Hotel and Spa

The hotel was exceptional, and the Palace Club section within it was amazing. Located with easy beach access and walkable to local shops. The staff were very professional, friendly and went out of their way to make our holiday such a great experience. The rooms were clean and spacious, the food, evening entertainment and amenities were perfect. A really great stay where we were able to relax and feel most welcome. We will definitely be back.

We booked this hotel months and months in advance and had been really looking forward to it. It was our third hotel in Bali and initially was our biggest disappointment..

We were given a beautiful welcome drink at reception with all the staff dressed in traditional clothing, smiling and all incredibly welcoming.

Then we were allocated our room…….it was dark, dated and very small lots of old wood with a bathroom that looked half finished. It was supposed to be a luxury upgrade and after two beautiful hotels in Seminyak and Ubud it felt like a massive downgrade - the view was probably the only saving grace.

I called reception and explained that we really weren’t happy - especially as we had booked so far in advance. While we were waiting for the manager to call, I started googling and discovered that the resort had an older section and a newer section with much more modern rooms, so I explained that we wanted to move to the newer part.

We were moved from room to room with air-conditioning problems thrown into the mix and in total were given five different rooms - moving six times.

Our preferred room that we moved to twice in the newer section blew out hot air and we were fed up of moving, so the hotel brought in a portable air-conditioning unit so we could cool the room. This solved the problem….later we discovered from other guests that the air con was a far-reaching issue.

This was where the story completely changed for us - not only did we receive a complimentary room service voucher for two but the following day there was a knock at the door and two absolutely beautiful young ladies arrived in their traditional outfits with the biggest smiles.

They apologised for everything that had happened and brought us gifts, including beautiful sarongs, biscuits and other little treats, along with a lovely handwritten card.

It was such a genuinely thoughtful gesture. They didn’t have to go to that effort but they did and it was incredibly touching. It really summed up our experience of Bali.

The resort itself had beautiful grounds, a lovely beach and gorgeous sea. We ate in all of the restaurants during our stay and the food was excellent throughout.

Above everything however - it was the staff; they were incredibly helpful, warm, kind and caring.

This is a beautiful hotel in an excellent location. The hotel itself was immaculate the room of a good size. We had an issue with the room we were initially given and this was changed by the following morning. The one and only downside in the room. Was a smell coming from the plug hole. We rectified it ourselves with a good disinfectant.
There are plot quiet areas just to sit and relax. The pool is beautiful with some sun loungers. Theses were hard to obtain. There is also an adult only pool which is great and sun loungers were always available.
The breakfast was amazing, something for everyone. The dinning room had amazing views of a water garden with fish swimming, lots of greenery. You could sit there all day if it was possible just staring at the water garden.
The restaurant was also beautiful food was top quality.
The beach was clean and plenty of sun loungers.
The staff at hotel very respectful and helpful.
Would I recommend, absolutely I would. I would love to return back to this hotel.
