I travelled solo for a much deserved rest. I stayed for 6 nights. I was on the top floor 5, with a garden facing room. It was the lowest price range; however I still rate it as 5*. It was large and very luxurious. My daily house keeping staff Ros and Darmawan always had my room spotless. I’m one to conserve water; so I would hang my towel each day; however I’m sure they were replaced with fresh ones. They also ensured I had plenty of bottled water. Thank you so much.
Kevin and Rio were very kind and attentive. We really appreciate there very hard work always with a smile
We really enjoyed our stay at The Apurva Kempinski Bali. The hotel has a very large and well-maintained territory with lots of palm trees, a great swimming pool, and plenty of space to relax. The service was excellent throughout our stay — the staff were always attentive, friendly, and quick to help with anything we needed.
A special thank you to Diana in the reception area. She was extremely helpful, friendly and professional, and always made sure everything was going well with our stay. It was a pleasure dealing with her and she definitely deserves a special mention.
We also really enjoyed the restaurants. Koral Restaurant was a very interesting experience and definitely worth visiting, and we had a great dinner at the Japanese restaurant as well. The food and service in both were excellent.
The spa was another highlight — we had a great experience there and really enjoyed the treatments and facilities.
Overall, this is a very well-run hotel with excellent service, great facilities, beautiful grounds and plenty to do without even leaving the resort. We would definitely stay here again.
Very high end hotel, high standards, high quality and great atmosphere. Is based in Nusa Dua which is where all the high end resorts are located so you can tell the difference when going into more local areas like Kuta from when you leave your resort. Rooms are excellent size, very clean. Corridors are very hot, and guests are very noisy returning to rooms at night which can be heard through doors. Maybe need a sign advising guests to keep the noise down when returning to rooms. We did have an issue with the toilet auto-flushing all night and it took 3 days for it to be fixed. Not a big deal but not the standard expected for the money being paid. Staff who came to fix it didn’t speak English very well so maybe the extent of the issue was being lost in translation. Hotel management did offer us a complimentary Afternoon tea as a gesture of goodwill, which was lovely. Breakfast time between 8 to 9am is very hectic and seating is not adequate so you can end up waiting to go in for a while. Not great if you’re booked to go somewhere. There was also an issue with food being available - as an all exclusive, it is not acceptable to be told they’ve run out of beans or scrambled eggs because we weren’t there by 9am. Staff are so rushed that orders for teas and lattes were forgotten. Again, they apologised when this was raised and the following day, a staff member was specifically allocated to serve our table to avoid any issues. I know this is perceived as a mitigation but it just made us feel bad for raising a complaint and wanted it fixed discreetly, not with people running around us in public. Pools were great, although my 10year old and 8year old bruised their toes quite a bit as the bottom of the family pool was rocky and spikey. Staff are supervising the pools which was great. Beach facilities were amazing, kayak and canoes available with staff on hand to help. Restaurants were lovely but again, very pricey for a large family, so we ate out regularly. Local restaurants were great, and bluebird cabs ordered directly by porters whenever needed.
