We had a truly wonderful stay at The Laguna, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Nusa Dua, Bali
The resort is beautiful, with a fantastic location, wonderful weather and beautifully landscaped lagoons throughout the property. We were fortunate to stay in a beautiful villa with our own private pool and a lovely garden. We also really enjoyed discovering the Secret Garden, which was a particularly charming part of the resort.
A special highlight was the wonderful welcome amenity prepared for us. The beautiful arrangement were such thoughtful touches and made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived.
We would especially like to thank Verina Rendiza, Assistant Director of Rooms, who was incredibly kind and welcoming and did a wonderful job preparing such a beautiful villa for us. We truly appreciated her personal attention and the care she put into making our stay special.
All of the staff we encountered were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, and we genuinely felt very comfortable and well taken care of throughout our stay.
The breakfast buffet was very good, with a great variety of options. It could get quite busy at times. The fitness center is relatively small, but very well equipped and perfectly adequate for a good workout.
Overall, we had a fantastic experience at The Laguna and left with a very positive impression of the resort. It is a beautiful property with a wonderful atmosphere, and we would be very happy to return.

We Changed Hotels in Nusa Dua — And It Saved Our Holiday
The Laguna Nusa Dua
We arrived at The Laguna Nusa Dua after deciding to leave another hotel in Nusa Dua due to hygiene issues that had unfortunately affected our holiday. It was only then that we truly realized the enormous difference it makes when a hotel genuinely takes cleanliness, service, and the well-being of its guests seriously.
From the very first moment, The Laguna was impeccable. Our room was spotlessly clean, as were all the common areas. Everything was extremely well maintained, organized, and held to a standard of cleanliness that made us feel completely comfortable and confident. For us, especially when travelling in Asia with a child, hygiene is absolutely essential.
The hotel itself is beautiful, the outdoor areas are wonderful, and the food was an excellent surprise. Even as Europeans with different tastes and eating habits, we always found delicious food, and the team was incredibly accommodating and willing to prepare or adapt dishes to our preferences.
But we must give a very special mention to Perdi. He is, without a doubt, one of the most professional people we have ever encountered in hospitality throughout our travels. We arrived in a difficult situation after deciding to change hotels, and Perdi did everything in his power to find a solution and secure a room for us. His competence, professionalism, kindness, and genuine concern for our family completely transformed our experience. Thanks to him, what could have ended as a disappointing holiday became a wonderful stay that we will always remember.
For anyone considering travelling to Nusa Dua, we would like to share one piece of advice based on our own experience: do not choose a hotel based only on beautiful photographs or the number of stars. Think about hygiene as well, because it can make all the difference to your holiday.
At The Laguna, we found exactly what we were looking for: impeccable cleanliness, excellent food, beautifully maintained common areas, a stunning hotel and, above all, extraordinary professionals.
After our experience, The Laguna is the hotel we trust and the one we wholeheartedly recommend in Nusa Dua.
And to Perdi: thank you so much for making our stay so special. People like you truly make a difference and represent what excellence in hospitality should be.

A great getaway
The Laguna has a very convenient location to town. It is in a developed area that has a huge number of restaurants, beach clubs, and shopping all within walking distance. There were many available beach and pool chairs and attendants ready to assist. The breakfast buffet had a terrific selection and the service was impeccable. Duta at the front desk and Rio in guest services provided us with bespoke and flawless service. Suksma!

A mixed stay - good location and dining, but few service consistency issues
We stayed at The Laguna for 2 weeks this August with my boyfriend, and honestly, it ended up being a real mixed experience. As a Marriott Bonvoy Gold member he usually sticks to these properties as we expect a certain level of consistent quality, but this stay had some major highs and quite a few lows.
First off, the resort itself is gorgeous the grounds are beautifully kept, and feel like a true oasis. The food quality was genuinely good across the board, and the overall vibe is relaxing. The staff are mostly warm, and very polite. A special shout-out has to go to Komang :) Where things fell short: unfortunately , the property really struggles with managing crowds and basic operational consistency, which felt way below what you'd expect from a luxury resort.
The Gym: The fitness center was a big letdown. We kept finding the equipment dirty (I've included photos), and there were never any clean water glasses available (we had to keep hunting down or asking the spa staff to get new ones). Even worse, there's zero supervision. Kids were running in and treating the heavy gym equipment like a playground, which is a safety hazard.
Housekeeping: The attention to detail in the rooms just wasn't consistent. Two nights in a row, we had to call housekeeping to actually get turndown service. One day, we left our room at 10:00 AM, came back at 3:00 PM, and it hadn't even been touched yet. To top it all off, we walked in one evening to find dirty cleaning rags left right on top of our personal luggage.
Crowd management: During busier times, the resort just felt overwhelmed and poorly equipped to handle the flow of guests smoothly.
Please note this feedback is purely to be constructive. When you travel often and rely on the Marriott Bonvoy standards, consistency in cleanliness, service, and safety is everything. We hope management takes a closer look at these operational gaps so the hotel can truly live up to its potential.

This hotel exceeded all my expectations. From the luxury and elegance to the exceptional attention to detail, everything was absolutely perfect. The facilities, cleanliness, service, and overall atmosphere were truly outstanding.
I would especially like to thank Mr. Maha for his exceptional service and professionalism. He was incredibly helpful, kind, attentive, and always went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. His attention to even the smallest details made our stay even more special and memorable.
