Tandjung Sari

We arrived at Tandjung Sari mid afternoon and warmly greeted by reception staff. The check-in process went smoothly, then we shown to our beautiful South Garden Bungalow and explained the layout of the bungalow (room 30). The bungalow is beautiful, large, no stairs, clean and tidy with ceiling fans, AC, large bath, large WIR, king bed and mozzie net, indoor and outdoor showers. It took me several days to realise that there isn’t a TV in the bungalow. I’m sure the bungalow had been recently renovated. Our bungalow was located in a lush garden setting, close to the pool, dining and the beach. We were advised they were completing renovations to the restaurant and all dining has moved to the breakfast dining area which overlooks the beach, great location and does not disappoint. The renovations had no impact on our stay with no noticeable noise or inconvenience. The setting is traditional lush Balinese gardens, walls, statues, bungalows and open air dining which we love. There is easy access to the beach from the property with beach dining, guest beach chairs and the area is kept exceptionally tidy. Separating the property from the beach is a bike path and walkway along the back of the beach. Breakfast is part of the accommodation which we enjoyed, especially the coffees. In-house dining Is very good and popular. Dining prices are slightly higher than outside which is to be expected. Value: I thought our stay was very good value, we wouldn’t normally pay as much as we did but couldn’t resist spoiling ourselves, we are very happy with our choice.

Dining nearby: Lots of restaurants, bars and warungs to choose from. Shotgun Social. Warung Happy Monkeys. Soul on the Beach. Shopping nearby: Icon Bali shopping centre (new). Street and beach shops. Massage: There are many massage, spa and wellness centres nearby, Donna Spa across the road is very good.

We really enjoyed our stay at Tandjung Sari and wish we could have stayed longer.

I celebrated my special birthday at the hotel on 4 July, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The team went above and beyond my expectations, and every detail was absolutely perfect.

The Balinese theme was beautifully presented, from the stunning decorations to the delicious menu. The entertainment was outstanding, with talented Balinese dancers and an incredible 17-piece traditional Balinese band that created such a wonderful atmosphere.

A special thank you to Catering Manager Benny, who was exceptional throughout the planning process. He listened carefully to every request and delivered everything exactly as promised. His professionalism, attention to detail and genuine care made my celebration everything I had hoped for and more.

I would also like to sincerely thank Sang Putu Wibawa for the beautiful floral arrangement presented on behalf of the hotel. It was such a thoughtful and much-appreciated gesture.

The entire team made my birthday truly memorable, and I can't recommend this hotel highly enough. In fact, two of my friends have already decided to hold their own functions here after seeing how amazing my celebration was. Thank you for making my special day so perfect!

When I came in for walk-in breakfast all beach side tables were taken. I was seated inside the restaurant, spent almost 250,000 on breakfast and asked to move to a beach side table (I wanted a few more coffees, had a cappuccino on order already) but was refused because I was not a hotel guest. I cancelled the cappuccino, paid and left. So in this hotel you are treated as a second rate guest when you walk into their restaurant. Be aware… a real shame because the food is otherwise good.
