We spent a wonderful week at Tanah Gajah, and it was truly one of the most peaceful and relaxing stays we’ve ever had.
Surrounded by beautiful nature and such a quiet, serene atmosphere, every day felt like a little escape from the world. The entire team was incredibly kind, warm, and attentive, which made our stay even more special.
A special mention to Nopi, who greeted us every morning at breakfast with the brightest, most radiant smile. She was absolutely lovely, and her smile was the perfect way to start each day. ☀️
We’ll definitely remember our week at Tanah Gajah fondly and hope to come back one day.

A Truly Special Balinese Sanctuary
We had an absolutely wonderful stay and would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the entire team for the incredibly warm welcome and outstanding hospitality.
This is so much more than a luxury hotel , it is a truly authentic Balinese sanctuary that beautifully preserves the traditions, culture, and spirit of Bali. From the lush gardens to the peaceful surroundings, there is a genuine sense of serenity and connection everywhere you go.
What made our stay truly unforgettable, however, was the people. Every member of the team was kind, attentive, and genuinely caring, making us feel less like guests and more like part of the family. The thoughtful little gestures and exceptional attention to detail made a lasting impression on us.
The dining experience was also a highlight of our stay. Every meal was prepared with great care and passion, making each occasion truly memorable.

An oasis in busy Ubud.
Had an incredible stay at Tanah Gajah with the family. Ubud is monumentally busy but this hotel is a piece of tranquility. The grounds are beautiful, calm and large. The rooms are well spaced out and although full the hotel never felt busy. Great service, lovely food (we had breakfast and dinner). Only feedback would be to have more attention to the pool area for food and drinks orders. Apart from that, hard to fault.
We also did the vw tour - highly recommend.

One of the best!
We stayed as a family of 3 for 3 nights during our 4th trip to Bali, this was our first time staying in Ubud and I’ve already rebooked for next year. There is something special about this hotel that you feel completely relaxed from the moment you enter. The staff, Chef Dean and the whole team provided exceptional service, a great 5 star hotel in the most beautiful setting. Thank you for an incredible stay!

Great retreat and natural place
Top spot in Ubud! Amazing location and so peaceful. The rice plantation has a beautiful story, and the rooms are top quality. Carlie, who took care of us, was an absolute superstar and so much fun. The Balinese massage at the spa is the best therapy around. DO NOT MISS the Valrona chocolate mousse by chef Dean delicious and beautifully reimagined! Made, our driver, took us around and knew everything. Thanks to everyone!
