Must stay in the heart of Bo Phut.
We had a wonderful stay made all the more special by all of the staff.
Right from our arrival we felt welcomed and nothing was too much trouble.
A few names that we took down we would like to thank especially:
Bee, Mook, Yut, Zin, Aimee, Sandy, Nang, Chan and Paula at the spa.
Being walking distance to the night markets was a huge plus.
Thanks again and hope to stay with you again in the future!

I simply couldn't ask for more, this is the best!
After a few nights at Chaweng Beach (obviously a mistake to stay there) I was well greeted by the Guest Relations Manager upon arrival. A lovely woman who simply is made for hospitality with a perfect eye for details, structure and warm welcoming professionalism. At this point, I knew the stay would be perfect!
The hotel is better in real life, the classy mix between old traditional Thai culture and international high standard makes it the perfect beach hotel in Thailand. After I got to my room, I kept walking around, around, around and around the hotel taking pictures. I normally never do so, even though I have stayed about 150 nights per year in hotels, since the last 20 years. The atmosphere is welcoming but also mysterious in a charming way.
Having the walking street and the fisherman’s village just around the corner makes it a prime location.
Staff around the pool is excellent, breakfast has all you need with food from all over the world, beach area feels private with a lovely view.
I will come back, hopefully many times. For now, I can only take my hat off!

Perfect kids club
The Kids Club at Anantara is absolutely amazing!
My two daughters, aged 8 and 6, love spending time there every day. Nicki and the entire team provide such warm, personal care, making the girls feel happy, safe, and truly at home.
The Kids Club is thoughtfully designed with everything children need, including an indoor toilet and a water dispenser, making it especially comfortable and convenient for them.
Every day brings a new and exciting activity, keeping the girls engaged, entertained, and looking forward to coming back.
One thing I especially appreciate is how Nicki keeps us updated via WhatsApp throughout the day, sharing messages and photos of the girls. It gives us such peace of mind and allows us to see how much fun they are having.
A huge thank you to Nicki and the whole team for making our stay so special. Your kindness, dedication, and genuine care mean so much to our family. ❤️
Great Location But Disappointing
We were disappointed by our stay. It didn’t feel like a consistently luxury experience. Our room was recently refurbed so that was nice and the house keeping staff were great, as well as a couple of stand out individuals but overall the staff seemed a bit jaded, especially at the pool and breakfast. The spa was also fantastic. However that’s where it ends - during August the pool was very crowded. We stayed for over a week and lay by the pool every day, only once was I offered a drink and unlike other comparable resorts, no one helped us find a sun bed/ lay out a towel, set out some water etc. It was very much a help yourself situation. The pool and beach area were both frequented by pigeons trying to get food that was left out too long. It was really quite horrible and not a luxury experience. Generally I felt it to be quite dirty by the pool unfortunately which is probably why the pigeons were hanging out. Breakfast was also poor. Mismatched furniture, stained cushions and rusted old fans - not a good impression. The food was not particularly great at breakfast either - particularly the cooked food was actually mediocre - very unusual in Thailand where food is usually delicious! There is also a large meeting room opposite the breakfast restaurant with a random ping pong table in it - just looked a bit neglected… I think this place is resting on the fact it is walking distance to Fisherman’s (which is great) and is not really delivering a five star luxury experience…Management should think about continuous improvement and someone with an eye for detail really needs to be out and about to make sure everything lives up to the Anantara brand - from our perspective it didn’t.. We did have a good time despite all of this but would not return.

1st trip to Thailand
lovely hotel right next to fishermans village .stayed in a garden suite which was lovely and very spacious . great service in restaurants and around the pool . overall had a great 2 week stay and felt at home staying here . always go out of school holidays to have a quieter time, but for some reason it had lots of children under 5 which was a pain at times . no adult pool as another option .
