Pavilion Samui Villas and Resort

Where do we even begin? Our stay at Pavilion Samui Villas & Resort in Lamai has been absolutely incredible and has genuinely been one of the highlights of our time in Thailand.

We stayed in a Grand Pool Villa, and if you are considering upgrading, our advice would be: do it! It was absolutely gorgeous and, in our opinion, definitely worth the extra cost. Having our own beautiful private pool and such a luxurious, spacious villa made the whole experience feel incredibly special. It was the perfect place to relax, switch off and enjoy Koh Samui.

However, what truly sets Pavilion apart is the people.

We have to give a very special mention to TK, the supervisor, who has been exceptional throughout our stay. There genuinely doesn’t seem to be a problem too big for TK. He handles everything with such professionalism, but what makes him particularly special is that he manages to combine that professionalism with genuine kindness, patience and understanding. Nothing ever feels like too much trouble. He is an absolute credit to Pavilion and exactly the type of person you hope to encounter when staying somewhere special.

And then there is Juen, one of the hosts. ❤️ We honestly think Juen may be one of the most humble, sweetest people we have ever met. There is such a genuine warmth and kindness about him that simply can’t be taught. Every interaction with him made us smile, and he went a long way towards making our holiday feel as special and memorable as it has. Pavilion is very lucky to have him.

TK and Juen, in particular, turned what was already a beautiful holiday into one we will genuinely never forget. We hope the hotel recognises just how much of a difference staff like these make to a guest’s experience.

We would also highly recommend some of Pavilion’s optional extras if you’re celebrating something special, travelling as a couple, or simply want to add an extra touch of romance and luxury to your stay.

The private dinner on the beach was breathtaking. Words don’t really do justice to the lengths the hotel went to in creating our own private spot on the beach. The entire setup was beautiful, romantic and incredibly thoughtful. Sitting there together with the sea in front of us felt like something out of a film. I would add photos but don’t want to ruin surprise. All I will say is If you’re considering booking it, we absolutely recommend it.

The floating breakfast is another experience not to miss, particularly if you’re staying in a Grand Pool Villa. It isn’t just something that looks good in photographs – the breakfast itself is delicious! From omelettes and fresh fruit to pastries, salads and plenty more, there was so much to choose from. Having it served floating in your own private pool is also just ridiculously good fun! 😂 For an extra extra additional cost, the hotel can even arrange flowers and Prosecco, which makes the whole experience feel even more special.

The location in Lamai is fantastic, the resort is beautiful, our villa was gorgeous and the staff throughout the hotel have been lovely, welcoming and attentive.

But ultimately, it’s how a place makes you feel that you remember long after you’ve gone home and Pavilion has made us feel incredibly welcome and cared for.

We literally loved our stay so much that we genuinely don’t want to leave. 😭❤️

Thank you to TK, Juen and the entire Pavilion team for giving us such wonderful memories of Koh Samui. This definitely isn’t goodbye – we’ll be coming back as soon as we possibly can, and we already can’t wait to see you all again.

Location is paradise! A nice welcome at check-in. Laid-back atmosphere in general. Families and couples mainly. Very attentive staff (Mew, Yok and Thada in particular) Lovely pools and beach area. Night markets next door but did not disturb our stay and we enjoyed looking round them. We had plunge pool suites and we used/needed the plunge pools daily! Good sized rooms with plenty of space to hang clothes and space for toiletries. Some wear&tear evident in one room which was acknowledged promptly by manager in correspondence after check-out. Had an issue with the AC unit during stay which was fixed after reporting. Food good (breakfasts and steak night). Daughters would have liked a choice of mocktails on drinks menu. Didn't book any tours through hotel but there seemed to be a good choice of options had we wanted to be busier! Did get out to Angthong National Pk for kayaking and up to north of island for a fire show at Coco Tam's (which was fabulous). Overall, a great stay after a busy 10 days on the mainland.
