- Weekender Resort

The 4-star Weekender Resort is ideally located, sitting directly on spectacular Lamai beach in a location secluded enough for guests to enjoy the tranquillity of a restful island holiday. Enjoy the beautiful crescent of palm-fringed, white sand and the restaurants, massage parlours and water sports on offer along the beach. The area also offers excellent beachfront dining under the stars, while the amenities of central Lamai are within walking distance.
Standard en-suite rooms are comfortably furnished with a Thai-style decor and a balcony or veranda offering picturesque sea views. All well-appointed rooms are air-conditioned with a mini bar, refrigerator, telephone, safe, satellite TV, and 2 complimentary bottles of water daily. Superior, deluxe villa and premier rooms are available for a supplement.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.

I’ve been to Lamai a bunch of times over the last 20 years, and tried a bunch of the known hotels.
However, i am now staying at Weekender every time. Main reasons:
Finally: Great staff. Not sure why, but the staff seems more friendly here than at other places. Mr. Pokai in the reception is a gem.
Drawbacks, if i search for them:
In summary: It’s not the most luxurious hotel in Lamai, but if you’re after a top-tier resort while not completely draining your wallet, Weekender is, to me, essily the best choice and value for money.
I know that i’ll definitely stay there next time i visit my brother.
Hotel in a great location, rooms a little run down especially the bathroom. Cheap toiletries and no flushing of toilet paper. Sun-beds! My God people were reserving the beach and pool sun-beds from the middle of the night! There were Germans putting towels down at 2am to get the beds they wanted! Hotel should do something about this. There is a nice garden area next to the main pool and we found it quieter and easy to get a bed there. Additional pools are really dirty, my costume was black after leaning on the side. Happy hour cocktails and beer are good value but outwith this drinks are overpriced. Main pool is huge and really good, Although in the centre of Lamai beach area and on the beach this is still a quiet hotel. Would I stay again- not sure, maybe for the location.
Actually is still living in the resort. Nor located in the center and directly on the beach. We live in a deluxe villa - cute nice. The poorest breakfast ever in Thailand. It’s really like a canteen without a soul and proud. Really consider having breakfast somewhere else even tough I already have paid for it. Been in hotels lower raided than this with a much nicer one. There is not enough sunbeds around the pool or at the beach. The useally thing with people laying their towels on one but never use it. Don’t see anyone working around the pool or the beach so I don’t who to tell this to except here.
The hotel is great, with the location being right on the beach and in the centre of most of amenities, bars and shops. The staff were very helpful thought our stay the only feedback I would have is that the pool bar could do the some improvements. It is one of the expensive along the beach so does make you look elsewhere for you lunch and past 8pm the lights will go off and the bar shuts so you are not able to sit down the front and relax if you fancy a night in the hotel. Apart from that it's a great choice
From the minute we checked into this beautiful resort we knew we made a mistake. We had only booked for three nights and not longer! We just found it so relaxing and comfortable and loved every minute of it.
Location – perfect.
From the chaos of the main road the Reception becomes a sea of calm and then it spills through the lovely garden down to the beach. The moments you can be on the beach restaurant or the main street and get the best of both
Accommodation – we stayed in a nice private suite all the rooms from the lowest grade up to the top looked excellent. They are thoughtfully designed to maximise privacy and were extremely comfortable.
They contained everything you needed including decent air-conditioning, bath robes, safe, hot drinks making facilities, umbrellas – just about everything you could think of. The shower was powerful, we even had a bath and the toiletries were lovely.
Importantly,, the bed was comfortable and we slept very well without any outside noise.
Wi-Fi – definitely not a strong point but not as bad as people make out. Yes, you do keep having to log back in but it takes just seconds and the speeds are generally very good around the resort. Another myth is that you can only have two devices Peru this simply is not true and you can have as many devices as you need lockdown at any time.
Food – we were room only so couldn't comment on the breakfast or similar. There's so many shops and cheap restaurants nearby we just prefer to eat there.
Pool and beach – absolutely fabulous. It was quiet when we were there so we had no problem getting sunbeds in the shade and with a good amount of privacy. This applied to both the pool and the beach which was absolutely beautiful and made a great backdrop to sunbathe from.
Staff – we didn't have a lot to do with them but when we did they were friendly and helpful.
All in all, we had a wonderful few days here and would not hesitate to come back when we return to town.
