Centara Ao Nang Beach Resort and Spa Krabi

My husband and I stayed for 9 nights and it is a pleasant Asian resort. Most of the staff were lovely and our room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was very good and happy hours were very good value. We had an issue on the second day when my husband's phone went missing from the room when it was cleaned while we were at breakfast. We reported it to the front desk immediately and the cleaner was found and returned the phone and said sorry. It was very unusual behaviour. We had the unfortunate event of several middle eastern? families staying in rooms close to us and had absolutely no regard for other guests. They played their music around and pool/beach and in their rooms, drank copious bottles of vodka, (purchased from outside the resort), were smoking in the non-smoking areas and sang loudly, which was intrusive. They were a nuisance and should have been spoken to when this behaviour started. I believe they were asked to leave on the day we left. The resort should have more security, inside the buildings with lift access and outside in the grounds. We enjoyed ourselves but in 40 years of travel have never come across other guests who were so arrogant and unthoughtful.

Great location, very but very nice stuff, everyone so kind and take care of anything you need. Clean room, and comfortable bad. Huge pool. Best choice in Krabi.

Centara was from start to finish amazing. From the greeting, welcome drink and extended hospitality by Tony to the huge room with a view of the ocean. The king size bed which was super comfy exceeded any California king I have ever experienced. Nice touches such as fresh fruit in the room upon arrival and fresh macaroons. Beach front property that for August was never crowded with ample chairs and privacy. Nice to have a concierge on site to arrange any outings. My only suggestion would be to add texture to the shower floors and also to the common floor areas as both were very slippery. I will definitely stay again.
