Novotel Phuket Kamala Beach

First the room had this time, fantastic, stunning beach wave view balconey, great Jazucci and bathroom, only qurky door slam toilet every time put wrong way. Best bed, pillowes aircon had thai for years. I miss the thai friendliness spesially from thai lobby, reception, resturant, beach bar. Understand they tired but still job her, gust. Small manager resturant almost agressiv. Gym perfect

This was my second time visiting here. Staff were friendly and very efficient responding to any requests. The location of the hotel is great with a perfect view looking out onto the sea, especially whilst eating breakfast outside. The room was clean and tidy but there was no full length mirror. Although there were works going on around the pool area, the noise level was not really an issue. The Novotel is great value for money.

We checked into this hotel based on a friend’s recommendation, but unfortunately, our stay has been a huge disappointment.

First, the beach is in terrible condition—very dirty, with lots of trash scattered around. It was unpleasant to walk on the sand, let alone swim in the water.

On a positive note, I want to say a big thank you to the girl at the reception. She was incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. However, despite her efforts, we were given a room facing the courtyard—which turned out to overlook garbage and a foul-smelling river. The stench is so strong that we can’t even open the balcony door. When we mentioned this, the receptionist said she would try to help, but also explained that rooms at our booking level always have this view.

To make matters worse, the hotel advertised volleyball as an available activity—but in reality, there isn’t even a net. Basic amenities like toothbrushes, toothpaste, slippers, and bathrobes were also missing from the room.

We are truly disappointed with our stay and have decided not to extend our time here. We are now looking for another hotel to move to.
