The SIS Kata Resort

The whole check-in experience was very good. Every staff was very friendly, especially the Charles staff who helped me carry my luggage. Thank you for his wholehearted help. The scenery of the hotel is very good, the water quality of the pool is good, and the smell is very small. You can see Kata Beach directly by the pool. The breakfast is not good. It can be improved, and there is no air conditioning in the restaurant.

Unfortunately, our overall impression of the hotel was very disappointing, mainly because of the attitude and service provided by the staff. At around 7:30 a.m., we were practically being rushed out of our room, even though our transfer was scheduled for 7:50 a.m. The staff spoke to us in a very rude and condescending manner, which is completely unacceptable for a hotel. Another major issue was that we were not properly informed about the hotel’s services and policies upon check-in. As a result, we were later charged for using towels and slippers. If these items are subject to an additional charge, guests should be clearly informed about this upon arrival, rather than being confronted with unexpected charges at check-out. What was even more frustrating was that when we asked why we had not been informed, the staff started arguing with us and insisted that we had been told about it, which was simply not true. Hotel policies and additional charges should be clearly communicated to guests in advance. Unfortunately, the rude and arrogant attitude of the reception staff completely ruined our impression of the hotel. Good hospitality is not only about the room itself, but also about how guests are treated. Because of this experience, we would not choose to stay at this hotel again and would not recommend it to others. I sincerely hope management pays attention to the quality of service and addresses the way guests are treated by the reception staff
