Novotel Phuket Vintage Park

We spent 6 days at the Novotel Vintage Park Phuket with our family of 6, booking two deluxe adjoining suites. We were there from October 4th - 10th, 2026 — hence the photos showing two opposite-facing rooms. Here’s an honest, detailed account to help fellow travellers.

Location is a standout. Patong Beach is an 8-minute walk and Bangla Street about 10 minutes — close enough to visit but far enough that no crowd, noise or nightlife chaos reaches the hotel, making it perfect for families. Two 7/11s are literally a 2-minute walk away, and plenty of dining options surround the hotel.

The hotel has great facilities. A dedicated desk for booking local activities, an award-winning spa — my wife and two daughters enjoyed hair treatments and massages and were very happy with the experience. The lobby is massive, beautifully maintained, and features a bar and pool table. Staff are consistently warm and helpful throughout.

Rooms are spacious and pool-facing, well-stocked with umbrellas, a safe, toiletries, towels, daily replenished water bottles and in-room coffee. Breakfast is a highlight with a generous, varied spread. Kids’ activities are included and beach towels are available on request. The hotel draws a lovely mix of Indian and Australian families, giving it a warm, welcoming vibe. One note — our floor was dirty on check-in, but the front desk responded promptly when notified.

That said, there are some concerns that cannot be overlooked. Over the course of our 6-day stay, we encountered cockroaches in the room on three separate occasions — and had to deal with eliminating them ourselves each time. I do have pictures but have chosen not to post them. We also found a grasshopper inside the room. Each incident was reported to the hotel and they did respond, eventually arranging pest control across the entire property — which strongly suggests we weren’t the only guests raising this issue. While we appreciate that they took action, the reality is that this should never have reached that point. A clean, pest-free room is not a luxury — it is the bare minimum any guest should expect, and even more so when paying premium rates. Finding insects in your room once could perhaps be overlooked, but three times over six days is a pattern that simply cannot be excused. The rooms and pool also show clear signs of age and are well overdue for a proper renovation.

Bottom line — prime location, great breakfast, excellent spa, friendly staff and solid family amenities. But hygiene and upkeep must match the rates being charged.
