InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort

The resort itself is visually stunning, with beautiful architecture, scenery and facilities. Unfortunately, our actual stay fell far below what we expected from a luxury resort of this level.

We stayed in a One-Bedroom Seaside Villa on the Rocks. Despite “Private Buggy Service” being listed as one of the villa benefits, we repeatedly experienced long waits for buggies and slow communication. Because of the villa’s location, we depended heavily on buggy transportation, which made these repeated delays particularly frustrating.

We raised these concerns during our stay and spoke directly with management. The buggy service did improve after our complaints, but in my opinion, guests at a luxury resort should not have to repeatedly complain and escalate issues in order to receive attentive and consistent service.

More seriously, we found ants in the bed where our child was sleeping. We also noticed significant discoloration of our swimwear after using our private villa pool.

There were also other service issues during the stay, including problems with restaurant orders and communication.

For me, luxury is not simply beautiful architecture, an impressive villa or a private pool. It is about consistent service, responsiveness and attention to detail from the beginning.

The property is undeniably beautiful, but personally, I feel that visiting for an afternoon experience would have been enough. Our overall stay was extremely disappointing, and if we had been able to change our return flight, we would have preferred to leave the resort early.

Unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing luxury resort experiences we have had.

리조트 자체의 건축, 풍경과 시설은 매우 아름답습니다. 하지만 실제 투숙 경험은 이 정도 수준의 럭셔리 리조트에서 기대했던 것에 크게 미치지 못했습니다.

저희는 One-Bedroom Seaside Villa on the Rocks에 투숙했습니다. 빌라 혜택 중 하나로 “Private Buggy Service”가 안내되어 있었지만, 실제로는 버기를 이용할 때 반복적으로 오래 기다려야 했고 연락과 응답도 느린 경우가 있었습니다. 빌라 위치상 리조트 내 이동을 위해 버기에 크게 의존해야 하기 때문에 이런 지연이 더욱 불편했습니다.

투숙 중 이 문제를 여러 차례 제기했고 management와도 직접 이야기했습니다. 항의 이후 버기 서비스는 실제로 개선되었습니다. 하지만 럭셔리 리조트라면 고객이 반복적으로 문제를 제기하고 상위 직원에게까지 이야기해야 비로소 세심한 서비스를 받을 수 있어서는 안 된다고 생각합니다.

더 심각하게 느꼈던 것은 아이가 자던 침대에서 개미를 발견한 일이었습니다. 또한 빌라의 개인 수영장을 이용한 후 저희 수영복의 색이 눈에 띄게 변하는 것도 확인했습니다.

그 외에도 레스토랑 주문과 커뮤니케이션 등 투숙 중 여러 서비스 문제가 있었습니다.

저에게 럭셔리는 아름다운 건축, 멋진 빌라와 개인 수영장만을 의미하지 않습니다. 처음부터 일관되고 신속한 서비스와 세심한 운영이 함께해야 한다고 생각합니다.

시설과 풍경이 아름다운 것은 분명하지만, 개인적으로는 애프터눈 프로그램 정도로 방문하는 것으로 충분했을 것 같습니다. 전체적인 투숙 경험은 매우 실망스러웠으며, 귀국편 변경이 가능했다면 남은 숙박을 포기하고 일찍 리조트를 떠나고 싶을 정도였습니다.

안타깝게도 지금까지 경험한 럭셔리 리조트 중 가장 실망스러운 경험 중 하나였습니다.
