La Siesta Resort and Spa

La Siesta Hoi An is truly the best place to stay in Hoi An. The property itself is absolutely beautiful, peaceful, and so well maintained, and my room was spacious, comfortable, and lovely. The breakfast each morning was also fantastic with a great selection, and the spa was wonderful — such a relaxing experience and definitely worth making time for during your stay.

What really made La Siesta special, though, was the staff and service. Everyone is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive, and they went above and beyond to make my birthday feel special. There were so many thoughtful touches throughout my stay that made me feel genuinely celebrated and cared for.

I especially want to recognize Hang, who was absolutely wonderful. She was so kind and thoughtful from the moment I arrived and all throughout my stay. What really touched me was that she even took the time to message me on her day off just to wish me a happy birthday. That meant so much to me and is a perfect example of the level of genuine hospitality I experienced here. Thank you, Hang!

After traveling around Vietnam, La Siesta was such a beautiful place to end my trip. Between the gorgeous property, comfortable room, delicious breakfast, relaxing spa, and especially the incredible staff, I couldn’t have asked for a better birthday stay. I will absolutely remember the kindness I experienced here, and I will stay here again if I return to Hoi An. 10/10 - Highly recommend!

Some hotels give you a beautiful room. Some give you great service. Then there are the rare places that become part of your story. For us, that place is La Siesta Resort & Spa Hoi An. From the moment we arrived, everything felt special. The resort is peaceful, beautifully located just outside the busy center, with rice-field views from our balcony and easy access to Hoi An. The rooms were immaculate, the property exceptionally clean, the pool wonderful, and every detail thoughtfully considered. But what truly sets La Siesta apart is its people. Every staff member remembered our names and little things about us. It never felt rehearsed. It felt genuine. Breakfast at The Temple Restaurant became one of our favorite parts of each day. We especially enjoyed getting to know Bang Phan, the restaurant manager, who introduced me to cold brew and quickly became a friend. Then something happened that turned a wonderful stay into a story we will never forget. I had a frustrating experience with a tailor in Hoi An. When I returned to the resort, Hằng Nguyễn noticed something was wrong, remembered my name, and asked what happened. She followed up on WhatsApp, gathered information, and coordinated with Remy Hồ. Because I had an American phone and did not speak Vietnamese, I couldn’t make the necessary local calls. Remy made them for me, communicated directly with the tailor, and personally took me into town on his scooter to help me retrieve my clothes and money. Neither of them had to do this. They simply saw someone having a difficult time and decided to help. We later spoke with General Manager Vuong Dinh Manh and told him how exceptional his team had been. Eventually, we left La Siesta for Da Nang. Unfortunately, the experience there could not have been more different. The first hotel had given our room away, leaving us scrambling to find somewhere else. At the second resort, we were moved through three different rooms before finding one that was suitable. We desperately wanted to return to La Siesta, but there were no rooms available. We thought our time there had simply become a wonderful memory. Then, the next morning, La Siesta contacted us. They had two nights available. Returning felt like coming home. The doormen, front desk team, Remy, Hằng, and Bang welcomed us back with genuine excitement. General Manager Vuong Dinh Manh was there too. Then they surprised us in a way we will never forget. Our room had a “Welcome Home” sign with our names on it. Inside, grass had been arranged across the bed to spell Welcome Home, and a photograph of us with the staff had been printed and framed. After everything we had experienced, that moment meant everything. We weren’t simply returning to a hotel. We were returning to people who had made us feel like family. Before leaving, we gave Remy matching chopsticks saying “Stand on Business” as a reminder of our friendship, and gave Hằng flowers to thank her. After their workday was over, Hằng, Remy, and Bang took us to a local restaurant for dinner. They introduced us to food and experiences we never would have discovered ourselves. We ate, laughed, shared stories, and stayed late into the evening. That dinner wasn’t an amenity or part of our reservation. It was friendship. Before leaving Hoi An, we took a photo with everyone. That photograph is now framed in our home as a reminder of the people who turned a stressful part of our trip into one of our most cherished memories. There are beautiful resorts all over the world. But genuine hospitality is something different. La Siesta didn’t just give us a wonderful place to stay. They gave us people, friendship, and a story we will remember for the rest of our lives. Thank you to Vuong Dinh Manh, Hằng Nguyễn, Remy Hồ, Bang Phan, the doormen, the front desk team, and all the staff for showing us what true hospitality looks like. You didn’t just make us feel welcome. You made us feel like we belonged. If you are visiting Hoi An, stay at La Siesta. Go for the beautiful resort. Stay for the incredible people.
