Old World Elegance
Hotel Royal combines old-world elegance with warm Vietnamese hospitality. Located right on the riverfront, it’s an easy walk to the Old Town and the evening festivities along the river — yet it’s just as nice to return to the serene pool, rooftop bar, and luxurious rooms.
The only constructive suggestion I can offer is to add a few more higher quality wine options at their lounge that comes with the premium priced rooms.
This is a well-managed hotel across every department, but Nghia and the entire Front Desk team deserve special mention for their dedication to taking care of every guest need.

Hotel Royal is fabulous. It is very luxurious with beautiful rooms. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is great and the restaurant food beautiful. Both pools are fantastic. I cannot fault anything.

If you are looking for the warmest, loveliest, most romantic boutique hotel experience in Hoi An, Vietnam, look no further than Hotel Royal Hoi An. We stayed for an entire week, and from the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth, gracious hospitality, and exceptional professionalism.
A very special thank-you to Ms. Sa Tran, the Reception Manager, who thoughtfully created our itinerary and helped us experience the very best of Hoi An. Everything was beautifully organized, from our special trip to Tuong Tailor, to a private and romantic canal boat ride, luxurious spa treatments, and so many thoughtful touches throughout our stay.
If you stay here, be sure to build your experience directly with Ms. Sa. She truly understands how to make your time in Hoi An personal and unforgettable.
And then there was the breakfast! Every morning was a gorgeous feast with offerings from around the world, served from 6:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. The four-hour window was wonderful, especially on days when we had early plans or wanted to enjoy a leisurely morning.
Our anniversary dinner was the highlight of the week. Poolside, beneath the stars and surrounded by candlelight, it was just my husband and me. The staff moved quietly around us, capturing photographs and serving an incredible seven-course dinner. It was intimate, romantic, beautifully presented, and unforgettable.
The hotel itself is breathtaking, with beautiful views of the ancient canal, two pools, a gorgeous spa, conscientious drivers, and an exceptionally attentive staff. Everything you would expect from a five-star resort is here, and then some.
What made this stay truly special, though, was the people. The staff welcomed us with such warmth and genuine care that they no longer feel like hotel staff to us. They have become our extended Vietnamese family. That is a feeling we will carry with us long after we leave Hoi An.
Do not miss this very special, romantic boutique hotel when visiting Hoi An. For us, Hotel Royal Hoi An became part of our anniversary memories, and memories we will treasure forever.

When visiting Hoi An you need to consider Hotel Royal Hoi An
Hotel Royal Hoi An is truly special. When visiting the beautiful city of Hoi An, this elegant hotel should be on your list. We stayed in the Grand Deluxe River View for ten days and couldn’t have asked for more. It’s centrally located yet tucked away in the quiet old town. The staff is incredibly attentive and helpful and the food is always fresh and delicious. Don’t miss the Deck rooftop bar for the best views in Hoi An and drinks. A huge thank you to Ngunyet and Hotel Royal for their hospitality.
