Providing a year-round tropical climate, the Maldives’ continually hot and humid weather can be attributed to its low lying nature and equatorial position. Average temperatures throughout the year generally hover between 25°C and 30°C during the day, dropping to a comfortable 23°C at night. Humidity is significantly higher during the Hulhangu Monsoon season, which runs between May and November, as is short torrential rain showers. Within the Iruvai dry season between January and April, visitors can expects a reduced chance of both rainfall and humidity.
