Why choose Malta

Picking the perfect destination for your holiday can be difficult, there’s a lot of factors to consider- whilst cost and availability are important, you’ll also want to consider the activities, food, weather and atmosphere to ensure you are able to make the most of your holiday. If you’re looking for holiday inspiration we’d suggest you head to Malta, here’s why;

Why choose Malta

There’s something for everyone…

If you’re travelling in a group one of the key issues is being able to keep everyone happy, especially if your group has different interests such as a family with a range of ages. Malta has it all! There are quiet villages to explore, long cliff top walks & hundreds of historical and cultural highlights to enjoy. St Julian’s and Paceville boasts some great nightlife with streets full of bars and restaurants where it's easy to spend the entire evening partying. You'll also find some world class restaurants to pop into first.

Malta allows you to get the best of both worlds, relaxation or exploration, just pick the type of holiday you'd prefer.

Why choose Malta

Travelling to Malta is hassle-free…

In Malta there are two official languages, with most locals able to speak both English and Maltese, this means it is simple to arrange activities when there such as booking restaurants, day trips or public transport without having to learn the language. In 2008 Malta also joined the Euro, which is easy to obtain and can be kept from other adventures around Europe, making it one of the simplest holidays to plan for.

Why choose Malta

There’s a rich cultural heritage…

Malta is very proud of its vast heritage which is shown through its numerous celebrations with traditional food and music, as well as its fascinating museums to visit. This means there is plenty to explore in the cities if you want to learn about Malta through history, with local guides to show you around the historic buildings too. But if you want something a little less learning-intensive all the restaurants will serve local specialities and the open-air performances of classic Maltese music is a great way to enrich your knowledge but still a fun way to spend your holiday.

Why choose Malta

It doesn’t matter when you travel…

Malta is a beautiful destination all year round, its tourist season runs through July and August much like most Mediterranean countries, but it is equally pleasant to visit during the supposed windy season of November-March. During this time there is slightly more of a chill to the air and rain is more likely, but it is still temperate enough that you are able to sit outside during January without being cold. The key to Malta in winter is to bring layers as the days will warm up in the midday sun but the mornings and evenings will be closer to UK temperatures.
